Panic in Anfield (Part 1)

Amid the thunderous cheers, Harry heard a shrill wolf howl. They had not heard it at the other stadiums yesterday, and he immediately became alert.

"Set up the defensive barrier." Galvin's voice came through the badge on their chests. Every Auror present drew their wands and aimed them at the sky. Before long, a transparent dome began to cover the stadium.

The television broadcast signal began having problems. The screen filled with static, yet the spectators at the scene noticed nothing unusual.

"Turn off the lights. Announce that the match has been suspended," Harry said into his badge as well. Yet several seconds later, the stadium lights remained on, and no announcement was made.

He immediately strode toward the main control room.

When he reached the back of the stands, his Sneakoscope immediately began flashing. He looked toward the entrance lights and saw four raggedly dressed people grinning at him viciously.

"Petrificus Totalus!"

One of them effortlessly deflected his spell with a Shield Charm. The other three were transforming. Harry immediately used a Transfiguration Spell on the stand entrance, blocking it off with railings. The people in the stands could not get out, and these werewolves would not be getting in either.

Then he began running for his life. The three werewolves chased after him, while another untransformed werewolf cast a Blasting Curse at the stadium supports.

Anfield had initially had only one tier of stands. Later, to accommodate more spectators, a second tier had been added. If those supports were destroyed, the upper stands would collapse.

But Harry could not stop him because he could barely look after himself. He could only keep waving his wand, sealing one entrance after another.
