After drinking the Wolfsbane Potion brewed by Damocles Belby, Remus had "fallen asleep," but Pomona felt as if he were already dead, with only the faint rise and fall of his chest remaining.
No one cared whether a Werewolf lived or died, not even Remus himself, but Pomona felt that she could not simply stand by and watch him die.
So she left the holding room for prisoners awaiting trial and went to find the only person who could help her. The corridor outside the Ministry of Magic courtroom was full of Potions masters who had come to observe, though there were far fewer than yesterday.

"I noticed that he made quite a few little moves after becoming headmaster." Laura sneered. "It makes one wonder how much loyalty you still have for the Dark Lord."

"It is plain for everyone to see," Laura said viciously.
