Elves are not native to the world of Witcher.

Their original name was the Ain Sid Clan, and they were originally from the same clan as the Ain El Clan, both being members of the Ain Wood Clan.

But then a major change occurred, and the Ian Wood Clan was forced to leave their world and split up along the way.

The Ain-Hid people arrived in this world in 1240 BC aboard White Ship and were known as the Mountain Folk or Elves.

The Ain El race went to another world and chose a completely different path, later becoming what humans call the Wild Hunt.

Knowing that the potential enemy, King Kedwen, was targeting the elves for unknown reasons and wanted to drag the School of the Wolf into it.

Ailin had consulted information about elves in the library.

The more Ailin studied these historical facts, especially the history of the elves in recent decades, the more doubts he had.

Not only was the king's attitude toward the elves strange, but the elves' tenacious resistance was also very strange.

Since the second conflict between elves and humans, initiated by Laurelin, the "Shaer Lavhed's White Rose," the Aelirenn Uprising.

Almost all the young elves went to the battlefield, only to be slaughtered by humans.

Elves are not very fertile, and their fertility will continue to decline as they age.

Because of this battle, the Aion Sid clan almost forever lost the chance to rise again.

In their despair, the remaining elves not only destroyed Shaer Lavhed, the last elven palace, but also moved their people deep into the Blue Mountains, completely adopting a secluded lifestyle.

On the way from Kaer village to Ban Ade, Ailin heard at the tavern that the elves' rebellion had suddenly begun last year and had not ended yet.

The Aelirenn Uprising was only a century ago, which may seem like a very long time to humankind.

But for Long-lived race like elves, it may feel like yesterday.

What made them not only leave their mountain sanctuary, but also willingly engage in conflict with the Kedwen, the second largest nation in human history?

Is it a person? Or a treasure?

Ailin lowered his head and pondered, feeling that the key to saving Kael'thas lay hidden within this.

A prison cart carrying seven or eight elves passed by him.

The Wolf Emblem on his chest trembled slightly, interrupting his thoughts.

Ailin looked up at the proud elves in the prison cart.

Their disheveled hair couldn't hide their striking features, and even sitting disheveled in the prison cart, their upright figures clad in leather armor still stubbornly exuded elegance.

Clearly, this is a group of elven warriors.

"En vatt'ghern?"

Suddenly, a whisper, like a gentle breeze, echoed in Ailin's mind.

He paused for a moment, then looked up and met a pair of clear, silver eyes that looked like molten lead.

en vatt'ghern?

What's the meaning?

Elder Speech?

No, with so many guards around, how dare the elf in the cage talk to me?

Ailin glanced around and, seeing that no one had noticed the unusual activity, knew that the whisper had appeared in his mind.

"Vatt...the Witcher, that's Elder Speech!"

"Tell me, you Witcher of the School of the Wolf, would you be willing to accept a commission?"

The prison van had already driven far away, and to avoid arousing suspicion, Ailin did not give chase.

Even so, the voice in my mind did not become blurred because of the distance.

This is a powerful elven mage!

He immediately realized the problem.

Why would such a powerful elven mage be captured?

Why didn't the wizards put her in Aetherium shackles?

Could it be that she deliberately allowed herself to be caught, and what were they trying to do with Ban Ade?

"Clever little fellow, but stop thinking about it. I'm asking if you'd like to accept a commission?"

She was reading my mind... Ailin's heart skipped a beat for a moment.

He immediately cleared his mind and carefully said:

"Who are you? What is your request? Why are you contacting me?"

After a couple of soft, whispering laughs, it seemed to mock his caution:

"Fate has chosen you."

destiny?

Ailin was about to ask further questions.

The elf spoke directly to himself:

"Find a human couple in a village near Ban Ade and help them leave Kedwen safely!"

"You will get what you want most..."

A human couple?

There are human couples everywhere here, where can you find them?

"You'll know when you meet them!"

What kind of riddle teller is this?

You'll know when you meet them? How can you meet someone you don't even know where to look?

No, I haven't agreed yet...

Ailin cried out in his heart.

But the elf seemed certain that he would accept the commission.

Accompanied by a soft, bell-like laugh, a subtle Divine Power was withdrawn from his mind.

"What's wrong, Ailin?" Vesemir asked.

After a few seconds of stunned silence, Ailin simply shook his head and said:

"It's nothing, Master Vesemir."

The incident happened suddenly, and he needed to sort out his thoughts before making any other decisions.

"The city gates are open!"

Shouts came from ahead, interrupting Vesemir's questioning.

Seeing that Ailin was unwilling to talk, he didn't mind, and told Huus, Bont and Fred to take their luggage and keep an eye on their mare.

Holding the reins, they followed the slowly moving procession into the city of Ban Ade.

At the wizard's signal, the city gates opened, and the prison cart slowly drove in.

Inside the prison van.

Several elves subtly obscured the seemingly delicate red-haired female elf with large eyes in the center.

"Honorable Aion Savini, we have reached the human city. What should we do next?" an elf asked in a low voice in Elder Speech.

If Ailin were here, hearing the elves' address would surely amplify his shock even further.

Ian Savigny – meaning the knower.

In Elder Speech, it is easily confused with "sorcerer," but its true translation should be "elven sage."

The mysterious Aion Savinis, like sorcerers, certainly use magic, but they not only possess magical abilities far more powerful than humans, but also have a wealth of knowledge and understanding of everything in the world.

Medicine, art, even traversing other worlds and dimensions, and time itself.

The Red-haired Elf, known as "Ian Savigny," shook his head upon hearing this, looked up at the city filled with spires, and said:

"We will do nothing and wait for the human king to arrive. I will take one look and then leave."

The other elves in the prison cart opened their mouths slightly upon hearing this.

This was completely different from their plans before they set off.

They looked at each other, and finally the elf asked softly:

"But what should that person do?"

"Don't worry, I 'saw' her return to the royal court unharmed." The Red-haired Elf curled his lips, glanced at the surrounding elves, and said, "Are you doubting me?"

The elves all lowered their heads, repeatedly saying they dared not.

"Smack!"

The whip lashed violently against the guardrails of the prison van.

"Shut up! You damn Long-ears!"

The elves looked indignant, but considering Ian Savigny's plan, they obediently kept their mouths shut.

The red-haired elf was unaffected by the whip.

She turned her head gracefully, gazing towards the city gate, and murmured absentmindedly, whether with disappointment or relief:

"Filius Miraculi ess en vatt'ghern!"
