"Druids did not reject others walking the path of nature. You could simply ask them for guidance; any Druid of the Druid Circle of Myna would gladly welcome a new member."
"As for Geralt Morra's mother, Lydia..."
Vera asked uncertainly, "Geralt Morra's mother used to be a Druid of the Druid Circle of Myna? What was so special about her?"
Ailin recalled the past as he carefully chose his words. "I don't know whether Geralt Morra's mother was a Druid, but she truly was very special."
"She was the priestess of Gwendoline, Daughter of Spring—the Mountain Folk goddess who once governed the four seasons."
"Gwendoline, Daughter of Spring..." Vera murmured with a frown. "I feel like I've heard that name before..."
Geralt Morra's Half-elf traits were obvious. It was hardly surprising that his mother had been one of the Mountain Folk.
And the gods of the Mountain Folk had fallen long ago.
That was a story from long before Vera was born.
In fact, in fields such as archaeology, history, and the history of magic, the large-scale fall of the elven gods marked the boundary between elves and ancient elves.
Even so, many Mountain Folk still worshipped those divine names long buried behind the dense clouds of history, hoping to call back their gods and restore the ancient glory of the Mountain Folk.
What puzzled Vera was that she actually had an impression of a god who had fallen so long ago.
Ailin said softly, "Vilgefortz once said that Great Prophet Ithlinne was also a priestess of Gwendoline, Daughter of Spring."
"Ithlinne..." Vera froze for a moment and looked at Ailin, her expression somewhat dazed.
"Jingle~ Jingle~"
The cool autumn breeze of an early morning in the Druid Circle of Myna slowly stirred the wind chimes hanging from the roof.
