After treating Ma Xiaotao’s evil fire and spending a night with her, he returned to Wang Qiuer as Shrek and Sun Moon exchanged students bound for Mingdu.

• Snow Empress arranged for Ice Empress and Xiaobai to become Ji Lin’s Sacred Marks, and Ji Lin fused Ice Empress’s mark into his right arm, upgrading his soul bone and gaining the Ice Empress Claw.
• Ji Lin killed the Blazing Sun Fire Dragon, absorbed its soul ring after Sky Dream Ice Silkworm raised its age, then introduced Sacred Mark technology to Xu Jiujiu and recruited disciples into Freedom Gate.
• Ji Lin and Wang Qiuer passed the Inner Court assessment, settled on Sea God Island, and welcomed Ling Luochen, Xixi, Yao Haoxuan, Gongyang Mo, and Chen Zifeng into Freedom Gate.
• Xu Jiujiu demonstrated Sacred Marks to Shrek’s Elder Scholars, and Jiang Nannan fused with a Ten-Thousand-Year Sacred Mark to gain a black fifth soul ring and the Extreme Shadow skill.

Ji Lin and Shrek’s students humbled the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy exchange students, then Ji Lin, Meng Hongchen, and Ling Luochen traveled to Dragon City to hunt Evil Soul Masters. Nan Qiu Qiu escaped the attack on her group, while her mother and several Earth Dragon Sect disciples remained missing as the search began.

• Jing Hongchen brought Shrek’s students home, while Yan Shaozhe escorted the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy exchange students to Shrek and arranged their Inner Court assessment.
• Wang Qiuer defeated Meng Hongchen, Shrek’s students won nine more matches, and Ji Lin defeated Xiao Hongchen, prompting Xiao Hongchen and the others to stay and keep training.
• Yan Shaozhe admitted the exchange students to the Inner Court, and Ji Lin spent a night with Zhang Lexuan before reuniting with Wang Qiuer.
• Meng Hongchen joined Ji Lin and Ling Luochen on an Evil Soul Master mission, while an ambush left Nan Shui Shui captured and forced Nan Qiu Qiu and the Earth Dragon Sect disciples to flee.
• Nan Qiu Qiu escaped her pursuers after Xu Shenshu and other disciples stayed behind, then Ji Lin, Meng Hongchen, and Ling Luochen rescued her near Dragon City.

Ji Lin and his companions destroyed the Holy Spirit Cult branch near Dragon City, rescued Nan Shui Shui and the Earth Dragon Sect prisoners, and helped Nana escape the cult’s control. Ji Lin formed ties between Freedom Gate and the Earth Dragon Sect, then discovered a hidden cache of rare ice treasures beneath its Cold Spring.

• Nan Qiu Qiu told Granny Hua that Ji Lin and his companions had rescued her from the Evil Soul Masters, and the group set out to find her captured mother.
• Ji Lin and Ye Guyi tracked an Evil Soul Master to a hidden branch near Dragon City, where Ye Guyi defeated its leaders with the group’s help.
• Nana revealed that the Holy Spirit Cult had imprisoned her parents’ souls and forced her to obey, and Ye Guyi agreed to purify them.
• Ji Lin and his companions rescued Nan Shui Shui and the Earth Dragon Sect disciples, but the Third Elder returned and fought Ji Lin until Chi Yuan killed him.
• Ji Lin accepted Nana into Freedom Gate after Ye Guyi purified her parents’ souls, and Nan Shui Shui welcomed the group to the Earth Dragon Sect.

Ji Lin brought the soul beasts into the Freedom Gate and helped establish the Liyue Chamber of Commerce, then advanced his cultivation after Mu En’s death. He left Shrek City to find the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where he encountered the Aromatic Silk Beauty and the valley’s plant soul beasts.

• Ji Lin reunited with Wang Qiuer, became intimate with Ma Xiaotao, and promised Xiao Hongchen that Meng Hongchen would be safe despite the coming war.
• Ji Lin recruited Ling Luochen and other Shrek disciples, then took Wang Qiuer and Chi Yuan to meet Di Tian and proposed that the soul beasts join Freedom Gate and support Sacred Marks.
• Gu Yuena agreed to join Freedom Gate temporarily and assess humanity, and the Liyue Chamber of Commerce was established as Sacred Marks went on sale.
