Ji Lin gathered immortal herbs, strengthened his allies, and graduated from Shrek as Freedom Gate expanded its influence. On the way to the Ice Sea, he intervened when Ju Zi’s forces were under attack and faced Zhao Yang in battle.

• Ji Lin passed Youyou’s trials at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, gained the Infernal Delicate Apricot and Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass as Sacred Marks, and reached rank sixty-five.
• Ji Lin returned to Freedom Gate with herbs and gifts for Xu Jiujiu, Ye Guyi, Zhang Lexuan, Ma Xiaotao, Wang Qiuer, Wang Dong’er, and Xiao Xiao, helping several of them strengthen their cultivation and Martial Souls.
• Over the next year, Ji Lin’s allies advanced, Sacred Marks spread across the former Three Douluo Kingdoms, and Freedom Gate developed cooperation between humans and Soul Beasts.
• Ji Lin and Meng Hongchen spent her final days at Shrek together before the exchange program ended, and Ji Lin later prepared to graduate and compete with Freedom Gate in the coming tournament.
• Ji Lin returned to Freedom Gate with Wang Qiuer, Wang Dong’er, and Xiao Xiao, met Xu Jiawei, and then fused with Snow Bear Queen Xiaobai to reach level seventy before setting out for the Ice Sea with Chi Yuan.
• Ji Lin encountered Ju Zi’s battered Soul Engineer force under attack and used Shore Flower to kill more than eighty enemy Soul Engineers, giving her squad time to regroup until reinforcements arrived.
• When Zhao Yang charged Ju Zi’s position and tried to capture her as leverage against Xu Tianran, Ji Lin protected her and stopped Zhao Yang’s attack with Ice Empress’s Pincers.
• Ji Lin summoned Heavenly Fire Holy Judgment and clashed with Zhao Yang’s Violent Gold Bear Avatar using Heavenly Fire Erosion.

Ji Lin traveled through the Northern Extreme Ice Sea, gained Liya and Bai Xiuxiu as Sacred Marks, and helped the Sea Princess Clan face the Demon Empress’s threat. Back in Mingdu for the tournament, Ji Lin’s allies warned Vina about the Holy Spirit Cult as the Sun Moon Empire announced new rules.

• Ji Lin defeated Zhao Yang, then left Ju Zi to wrestle with her feelings before traveling north with Chi Yuan.
• Ji Lin encountered Bai Xiuxiu in the Ice Sea, but chose not to make her his Sacred Mark after considering the dangers and Sea God Tang’s contingencies.
• Snow Empress introduced Ji Lin to the Sea Princess, and Liya agreed to become his Sacred Mark as the Demon Empress attacked the Sea God Family’s fleet.
• The Demon Empress killed Chen Tianyu and many Demon Soul Great White Sharks, while Xiao Bai died after wounding her and Bai Xiuxiu found her mother’s Shark Pearl.
• Ji Lin completed his fusion with Liya and absorbed the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm’s Million-Year Soul Ring, then rescued Bai Xiuxiu during her tribulation and made her his eighth Perfect Sacred Mark.
• Ji Lin returned to Freedom Gate, named its tournament team, and brought the group to Mingdu, where he and his allies discovered that Tang Ya had joined the Holy Spirit Cult.
• Bei Bei, Zhang Lexuan, Xu Jiujiu, and Ji Lin discussed the Holy Spirit Cult’s threat, and Zhang Lexuan warned Vina and Mu Xue that it had two Limit Douluo.
• Ji Lin and Zhang Lexuan spent the night together, then returned separately to the hotel as the Sun Moon Empire announced tournament rules removing the height limit on matches.

Ji Lin led Freedom Gate through the tournament’s elimination rounds and into the round-robin stage, where Wang Dong'er helped defeat the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy. Freedom Gate then began its match against Mingyu Sect, and Wang Dong'er faced the sect’s dangerous contestants.

• Ji Lin led Freedom Gate through the opening rounds, where Ye Guyi, Nana, and Wang Dong'er each helped secure decisive victories.
• Freedom Gate traded wins and surrenders with Earth Dragon Sect, then gave the sect enough points to qualify while keeping its own undefeated record.
• Freedom Gate drew Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy and Earth Dragon Sect in its round-robin group, then began its match against the Sun Moon Team.
• Wang Dong'er defeated Shi Xing, Zhou Xinghao, and Xiao Ping, after which Xiao Hongchen conceded and Freedom Gate won the match.
• Ji Lin brought Wang Qiuer to buy uniforms, and Freedom Gate later faced Mingyu Sect under chief referee Zheng Zhan.
• Wang Dong'er defeated You Chen with her Clear Sky Hammer, and Zheng Zhan declared Freedom Gate the winner of the match.
• Ade revealed his Blood Bat Martial Soul and attacked Wang Dong'er, who drove him back before he activated his second Soul Ring.

Freedom Gate defeated Mingyu Sect and Heaven Dragon Sect, then advanced through the tournament as Shrek Academy fell to the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy. As Freedom Gate faced the Holy Spirit Sect, Ji Lin helped Tang Ya recover some memories, and the arc ended with both teams preparing for their team battle.

• Ji Lin froze Ade’s rampaging energy, and Freedom Gate went on to defeat Mingyu Sect in both the individual matches and the team battle.
• Freedom Gate finished first in its group, then drew Heaven Dragon Sect as its quarterfinal opponent while Shrek Academy drew the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy.
• The Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy defeated Shrek Academy, while Freedom Gate defeated Heaven Dragon Sect and secured a semifinal place against the Holy Spirit Sect.
• Xu Jiujiu and Vina told Ji Lin that their scouts had vanished and proposed a plan to assassinate Xu Tianran, while Ji Lin suggested seizing military Soul Tools during the attempt.
• The Snow Demon Sect defeated the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy to reach the final, leaving Freedom Gate to face the Holy Spirit Sect in the other semifinal.
• Ji Lin defeated Jili and Wang Xiaolei, then fought Tang Ya and used his Word Spirit Art to restore some of her memories before her evil poison overwhelmed her.
• Zhang Peng subdued Tang Ya and accused Ji Lin of harming the Holy Maiden, but conceded the match and left after Ji Lin challenged him about the Holy Spirit Cult.
• Ji Lin forfeited the remaining individual matches, told Bei Bei he knew of an immortal herb that could cure Tang Ya, and led six young women onto the stage for the team battle.
