Vizet opened his eyes. The bright afternoon sunlight streamed through the curtains and spilled into every corner of the room, tinting it all gold.
He saw a familiar sight: crystal bubbles floating along the ceiling, each one holding a candle inside.
Without a doubt, this was a ward at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, and he was once again lying in a hospital bed here.
The accident caused by casting that Communication War Magic had been much more serious than he had imagined. Otherwise, he would not have been admitted to St. Mungo's.
What about Luna?
With something like this happening, she must have been very worried, right?
That was the first thing Vizet thought of. He instinctively turned his head to the side and saw Luna sitting beside him.
Luna was leaning slightly forward, asleep on the cabinet. A few strands of hair had fallen across the surface, rising and falling faintly with her breathing.
Vizet braced himself against the bed board and slowly sat up, doing his best not to make the slightest sound as he continued to gaze at Luna's sleeping face.
Luna's mouth was slightly open, a few pearly white, shell-like teeth half hidden and half revealed. She looked terribly cute.
As if she were having some wonderful dream, her brows were curved like willow leaves brushed by a spring breeze. Her breathing was gentle and even, her whole body relaxed, and that relaxation made her cheeks look especially soft.
A few strands of hair were also stuck to her cheeks, outlining an indescribable playfulness.
Sunlight fell over her. Her delicate, fair skin looked rosy, and the fine, translucent down on her cheeks showed faintly, making them seem like fresh, juicy honey peaches.
Vizet felt his heart fill with some kind of impulse.
