The letter from the Treadwell Family was very long. Apart from long stretches of pleasantries, it kept reminding Xenophilius that when he came to attend the funeral, it would be best if his whole family appeared together.
The entire letter emphasized that point, and its intent was already obvious. How could Xenophilius possibly not understand?
And it was precisely because he understood that he kept that part to himself and did not tell Luna and Vizet.
Looking at Luna's bright, sparkling eyes, Xenophilius continued, "Vizet definitely wouldn't like an occasion like that, and on top of that, he doesn't know how to refuse people."
"Just like that time, when Old Fudge insisted on holding an awards ceremony at Hogwarts and even made Vizet go up and give a speech. And what did he end up saying?"
"Though I did find it very satisfying to hear, the aftermath was quite troublesome. Isn't what the Treadwell Family is planning now just trying to make a simple problem complicated?"
"A funeral is such a special occasion. What if Vizet says the wrong thing again? Wouldn't I still have to be the one to deal with it? Thinking about it that way, it'd be better to let him stay here."
After saying all that, he noticed the smile on Luna's face and coughed lightly. "Ahem... sweetheart, what are you laughing at? Did you think of something happy?"
"Mm... yes! I thought of something very happy." Luna nodded and admitted it. "It looks like Daddy cares a lot about Vizet!"
"Nothing of the sort!" Xenophilius waved his hand in denial. "I just don't want Vizet to get tricked and drag us down with him."
"Sweetheart, think about it... he clearly deserves a lot of credit, but he insists on saying it was other people who
