Vizet and Luna left the Leaky Cauldron just as it began to snow outside.
Compared with the snow in Ottery St Catchpole, the snow falling in London was clearly much heavier.
Flurries of snowflakes drifted wildly like goose feathers, and the road soon gathered another layer of snow. Stepping on it felt like stepping on a soft blanket, and it gave off a crunching sound.
The biting wind carried a bone-deep chill as it swept howling through the streets, sending the snowflakes spinning in the air.
When the wind blew against their faces, it hurt like a knife. The pedestrians along the way instinctively wrapped their clothes tighter around themselves, and their steps were a little quicker than usual.
Vizet and Luna were the odd ones out. The two of them still walked at an unhurried pace, and Luna would even raise her hand from time to time, touching the falling snowflakes lightly with her fair fingertips.
Even though both of them had cast magic on themselves, Vizet still could not help asking, "Luna, do you feel cold?"
"Of course not!" Luna looked at Vizet, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly into a sweet smile, her white breath dispersing in the air.
She gently raised the hand interlaced with Vizet's, her eyes full of tenderness. "Your hand is warm, just like a little fireplace."
Neither of them was wearing gloves. When they had left the Leaky Cauldron earlier, her fingertips had still been faintly cool, but the warmth from Vizet's palm had already quietly melted away that chill.
She pressed the back of Vizet's hand against her cheek. "It's warm here too!"
Feeling the warmth and smoothness of Luna's cheek, Vizet finally relaxed. "That's good!"
