The closer he got to the source of the magical fluctuations, the more pronounced that feeling became, as though even the air had turned viscous.
Yet that thickness brought him neither suffocation nor oppression, but an indescribable sense of fullness.
Before long, he passed through the final layer of shadows and arrived at an open woodland clearing.
Countless figures had gathered there. Some stood, some sat, some leaned against "Thought," while others floated in midair. Their poses varied, and each was enveloped in a faint halo of light.
These figures gave Vizet the same feeling as Hermes Trismegistus had when he first encountered him through the copy of the Emerald Tablet.
Their faces were the same way, as though one could see both youth and old age at once—contradictory, yet unified.
Even their clothing, ornaments, and the objects they held resembled those of Hermes Trismegistus. They were so ancient that they seemed to have existed at the end of time itself, rather than being products created by time.
Vizet narrowed his eyes slightly, his attention instinctively focusing on the figure closest to him.
Both that figure and the Gungnir he held felt incomparably familiar to him.
After all, when he, Luna, and Xenophilius Lovegood had traveled through Sweden, they had witnessed that battle through Gungnir. In the end, it had been that figure who sealed away The Master, the Skeleton Figure.
