Snape released his clenched fist and looked deeply at Vizet. His gaze became complicated, filled with hesitation and struggle.
In the end, perhaps out of trust in Vizet, he nodded with some difficulty. "You handle this matter!"
"Professor Snape, I will." Vizet glanced at the lingering glimmers from the corner of his eye and gave his Wand a light flick.
Voldemort seemed to be controlled by an invisible force, his entire body hoisted into the air, his limbs and head hanging limply.
Vizet turned to Voldemort. "Voldemort, I know you must have many questions about that Killing Curse just now. I can give you the chance to ask them now."
Voldemort could clearly feel that, at the very least, he could move his head.
Vizet was right. He did want to know why the Killing Curse he had cast had failed to kill Harry.
He knew what fate awaited him next, so he simply nodded and admitted that he did indeed want to know.
No matter what, dying with a heart full of doubts was worse than learning the truth.
In any case, he had already seen most of what he wanted to see before his death. No matter what happened, things could not possibly get any worse.
Besides, with The Master as a precedent, he hoped he could meet his end with a little more dignity.
At the very least... with more dignity than The Master!
He watched Vizet lightly wave his Wand, and some of the magic placed upon him immediately ceased to work.
Although he was curious about why Harry had not died from the Killing Curse, the question he most wanted to ask at that moment was this one.
"Was Severus really worth saving?"
