A Visit to Central Park
If we consider New York's steel forest as the strap of a watch, then Central Park in the heart of Manhattan is like the dial that holds the entire city together.
Central Park is known for its tranquil and beautiful scenery, reminding people who are constantly busy, like the "second hand" of a clock, to remember to occasionally stop and enjoy the beauty of life.
It was summer vacation, and Central Park was packed with visitors. Some people were picnicking on the grass, some were flying kites, and children were running and playing.
Wherever you go, you can see tourists playing around, filled with laughter and joy.
Professor McGonagall needed to go to the Magical Congress first to take care of some trivial matters before she would notify Wizet and the others to come over.
Taking advantage of the pleasant afternoon sun, Wizet and Luna strolled side by side along a path in Central Park.
The trees in Central Park are lush, and you can't feel the heat of midsummer on the paths;
Luna walked with her hands behind her back, her movements as light and graceful as a dance, each step landing on dappled gold.
Wizet followed at a leisurely pace, offering her umbrella to Luna whenever they encountered a spot without branches to provide shade.
Despite the overall cool environment, Luna still sweated quite a bit, the sweat dripping down the strands of hair that clung to her snow-white neck.
She turned around and let out a soft breath. "You must be tired too, right? It's only a short distance, you don't need to hold the umbrella like that!"
"It's alright." Wizet shook her head gently, took out a Unicorn tail hair handkerchief, and gently touched Luna's cheek.
He looked around before opening the hand holding the umbrella, but the umbrella remained in place, showing no sign of touching the ground.
Previously, when Dumbledore "directed and acted" by the Board of Governors and "asked" to leave Hogwarts, he used himself as a guarantor to apply for the qualification of casting spells outside the school for Wizet.
Under normal circumstances, as long as Wizet does not harm Muggle or make Muggle aware of the existence of magic, he can use magic in any country.
"Are we going to... Wizard's Central Park?" Luna squinted slightly, took a few more steps forward, and let Wizet help wipe the sweat from her cheeks.
"Yes... let's go check out the Horned Serpent first." Wizet looked around and pointed in one direction, saying, "This way!"
Wizet and Luna turned into a path, where the words "Welcome" appeared on a tree beside the path.
The two looked around to make sure no one was following them before crashing into a tree and appearing in a quiet forest.
The forest is surrounded by lush green trees, and birdsong fills the air. Sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground, adding a touch of poetry to the scene.
They hadn't walked far when they saw a roadside sign.
If you see Cat Leopard on the roadside or in trees, please do not approach, touch, or make eye contact with them. Meat is often hung in various locations in the area; well-fed Cat Leopard will not attack anyone.
The Cat Leopard is a Magical creature resembling a cougar, but without a mane on its neck, with a tuft of hair at the tip of its tail, a well-proportioned body, medium-length limbs, and relatively short fur.
[If you have seen Cat Leopard with large ears, it is likely Kneazle injured by Engorgement Charm. Please contact the Magical Congress immediately.]
After reading the sign, Wizet couldn't help but chuckle. "It looks... a bit like a ghost story."
"Ghost stories?" Luna blinked. "You mean the urban legends that Muggle talk about?"
"Yes... but this should just be a warning." Wizet. "When I was making plans a couple of days ago, I learned about something from the past."
"There was once a wizard in Cincinnati who claimed to have tamed Cat Leopard. It was only after the Magical Congress conducted a surprise inspection that they found out that this wizard was only good at Engorgement Charm."
"The grown-up Kneazle looks somewhat like Cat Leopard, and some wizards who do not know much about it will be fooled into buying it at a high price to take home as a pet to guard their house."
Luna stared at the sign, somewhat lost in thought. "But I think... this ghost story is a really interesting idea. Dad would probably like it!"
"Let's take a picture here!" Wizet suggested, "And share it with Mr. Lovegood later."
Go a little further in, and you'll find wizard vendors.
They were selling amulets that looked like small net bags with a few Augurey feathers tied around them; they looked quite appealing.
According to the wizard vendor, this amulet can filter dreams; only good dreams can pass through the net and flow into the wizard's dreamland along the feathers.
Nightmares will be trapped in the net, and when the sun rises the next day, these lingering nightmares will be destroyed by the sunlight.
Perhaps because there weren't many wizards around today, or perhaps for other reasons, the wizard vendor was exceptionally enthusiastic, constantly talking about how good and precious the amulet was.
Luna listened patiently to the wizard vendor's words, but ultimately shook her head and declined, saying, "Sir, thank you for saying so much..."
"But now every dream I have... is a beautiful dream, I haven't had any nightmares, so I feel that there are other people who need it more than I do!"
Seeing Luna's smile, the wizard vendor was speechless for a moment.
Although he thought it might be an excuse, he also felt that what Luna said was true.
In the end, he could only nod, pondering his sales pitch while continuing to look for the next buyer.
Besides selling amulets, there were also wizard vendors selling snacks along the way.
This is a snack similar to zongzi (sticky rice dumplings). The cornmeal needs to be seasoned beforehand, wrapped in corn husks, steamed, and then deep-fried. It is served with sweetened sour cream.
The taste was passable; at least Luna enjoyed it, while Wizet felt there was too much sugar, making it too sweet.
The two finally arrived at the lake in Central Park, where they could see many Horned Serpent floating in the clear water.
After asking the nearby zookeepers and confirming that it was safe to feed her, Luna took out a small piece of meat and dripped a drop of Potions on it.
Before the piece of meat even had a chance to enter the water, a Horned Serpent leaped out of the water, swallowed the piece of meat into its mouth, and then glided a short distance in mid-air before returning to the water.
As the name suggests, Horned Serpent not only have colorful skin, but also horns on their heads, which they can even use to drive water currents to attack.
That gliding Horned Serpent is an even rarer and more precious species;
It has a gem on its forehead, which is said to grant magical items the ability to become invisible and fly after simple processing;
The Firebolt is the fastest Flying Broomstick today, and it is said that some of this gemstone powder is added during the manufacturing process.
Time always flies when you're playing. Before she knew it, a silver Tabby Cat landed from the air and leaped to Wizet's side.
The tabby Cat Patronus spoke in Professor McGonagall's voice, "Wizet, Luna, you can come over now."
