Making Friends with Hippogriffs
"Here's my plan!" Hagrid said without reservation, his tone filled with immense pride, "I intend to use this afternoon's class to let the students get to know them better!"
"They are really easy to get along with. As long as you are polite, bow to them, and feed them a little, that's it! Really! It's that simple!"
"These little cuties have only been here for half a month, but I'm already quite familiar with them! After all, it's the first class, and I want to leave a good impression on the students so that they can relax a bit during the first class!"
"Once the students get to know these little guys, we'll arrange other courses so they can go see more distant places with them!"
"Did you know? These little guys are really careless when they lay their babies! They're so careless when building their nests that the eggs are so fragile and easily broken..."
Hagrid stroked Buckbeak's neck feathers and eloquently recounted his comprehensive plan;
He had clearly made careful preparations, intending to take his students to learn more about the Hippogriff;
He has high expectations for the students and believes that as long as they follow the rules and respect the Hippogriff, they can safely interact with the Hippogriff and experience the charm of Magical creature.
The goal of this course is to spark students' interest in amazing creatures and inspire their enthusiasm for further learning and exploration.
Hagrid's vision was wonderful, but it contained considerable hidden dangers.
The current situation is that he is somewhat impatient and hopes to introduce his group of friends to his other group of friends as soon as possible;
Although the two groups of friends had never interacted with each other, Hagrid felt they could get along well;
This idea likely stems from Hagrid's own experiences. As a gamekeeper, he frequently had to patrol deep into the Forbidden Forest, where he encountered far too many Magical creature.
Given Hagrid's own identity Half-giant, his size and attitude make it quite natural for him to get along with the Magical creature.
For students who are new to this course, it is obviously quite difficult to grasp all of this immediately;
If the pace of the class is not well controlled, accidents may easily occur, and it will be very troublesome to handle them afterward.
Hagrid's knowledge of Magical creature is undoubtedly vast, and if an accident were to damage his confidence, it would be much more difficult for him to acquire this knowledge in the future.
Snape once told Wizet that to go further on the path of Potions, one needs to constantly learn about Potion Ingredients and study the properties of Potions in depth.
This understanding can be multifaceted; it can be achieved not only by meticulously analyzing a material from the perspective of Potions, thereby enhancing one's understanding of that material.
We can also study the Magical creature that produce the corresponding materials from a more comprehensive perspective, thereby enhancing our understanding of a particular material.
Hagrid's description of the Hippogriff was very comprehensive, which is knowledge that Wizet greatly needs.
By carefully analyzing the materials, you can determine which properties you need from them.
A comprehensive study of the corresponding Magical creature can help us understand when to obtain materials to achieve the best results.
According to Wizet, meticulousness and comprehensiveness, macro and micro perspectives, complement each other and are one of the secrets to going further on the path of Potions.
This is one of the most direct examples. Wizet has always understood that "all roads lead to Rome" and "learning by analogy" means that it is never a bad thing to be able to learn knowledge more deeply.
Luna said, "Hagrid, I found your introduction quite interesting!"
"The introduction just now?" Hagrid scratched his head, a hint of embarrassment in his voice. "Was it... was it true?"
Luna raised her hand slightly and touched the back of Wizet's hand.
Wizet replied knowingly, "I think it's wonderful too! How should I put it? It's like witnessing its entire life..."
"From the Hippogriff, to when it learns to build a nest and rest, to when it learns to forage for food, and then to when it makes other friends, it's all very vivid!"
"After your introduction... I feel like I'm old friends with them too." Luna slowly walked forward and looked at Buckbeak, speaking softly.
Wizet focused her attention and stared intently at Luna.
Buckbeak noticed Luna's gaze, met her eyes, and quickly leaned down, adopting a bowing posture.
"Look, it bowed first!" Hagrid exclaimed excitedly. "What a wonderful child! It's so polite!"
Luna lifted the hem of her robe and bowed, saying, "Hello! Buckbeak!"
She slowly bent down, her eyes filled with respect and tenderness, as if greeting a long-lost friend.
Buckbeak slightly opened its sharp beak and let out a long, soft groan, as if in response to something.
"Well done, Buckbeak!" Hagrid said, his voice trembling, a tear seemingly sliding down his cheek. "Oh! It's so well-behaved!"
"Luna, you're great too! You can stroke Buckbeak's beak... Don't worry, it's very friendly, it just looks a little serious!"
Wizet breathed a slight sigh of relief, her attention remaining focused on Luna. "Hagrid, you can do it like you did before..."
"Tell them to your classmates first, like introducing a friend, and then consider other things. You have to believe in yourself!"
"Are you sure you won't get bored?" Hagrid was still a little uneasy. "When I was in class, it was because of Professor Binns..."
He scratched his head and said in a slightly muffled voice, "I slept through a class and was late for Transfiguration... I still remember Professor McGonagall's expression!"
Wizet chuckled to himself. He truly hadn't expected that Hagrid's current considerations would have this particular reason.
Buckbeak sat cross-legged on the ground, Luna gently patted Buckbeak's beak. "Hagrid, didn't you want Buckbeak and the others... to make friends with their classmates? How could making friends be boring?"
"Yes!" Wizet chimed in. "You can also have Buckbeak and the others show just how powerful they are, so the students can learn more."
"Show how powerful they are?" Hagrid's eyes lit up. "Their claws are amazing! A simple rub can leave a deep mark on a tree!"
Wizet and Luna said in unison, "Yes! That's what we're going to show!"
"Friends sometimes have arguments..." Wizet added, "Letting classmates know how powerful Buckbeak and his friends are can reduce the likelihood of arguments."
"Oh! That's right! These are things to be careful about too!" Hagrid nodded repeatedly. "They can fight! When I first came into contact with them, they would scratch me."
He twisted his arm to show off a row of stitches on the inside of his mole fur coat. "But they're all very gentle; none of them scratched my skin, hehe!"
