Vizet had split the Black Lake in two through the magic of Dissendium, but because it had happened too suddenly and too quietly, the other Champions knew nothing about it.
At most, what the other Champions could sense was the abnormal behavior of those underwater creatures. Taking advantage of this rare opportunity, they pressed their attack, hoping to obtain more specks of light.
"Force Loosening!" Harry thrust out his Wand and hit the Grindylow closest to him. A faint glimmer flew into his bracelet.
"What's wrong with them? Could they be controlled by some kind of magic..." A possibility suddenly occurred to him. "Could it be Voldemort? Maybe we shouldn't follow them?"
He had come face-to-face with Voldemort several times, and it seemed that every time something strange and bizarre happened, it had something to do with Voldemort;
After accumulating so much related experience, whenever he encountered something similar again, his first thought was that Voldemort was up to something.
When Draco heard Harry say the word "Voldemort," his wrist jerked instinctively, and the Extraction Charm he cast failed to hit the Grindylow.
"Don't say He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's name out loud!" he said through gritted teeth. "What are you thinking? Why bring up that name all of a sudden?"
Just as Harry opened his mouth to answer Draco, Cedric's voice rang out. "Harry! Draco! Back up, quickly! They've come to their senses! We chased too far!"
"Come to their senses?"
Harry and Draco looked ahead at the same time and saw that the Merpeople in the distance had already turned around. They raised their spears in their direction and opened their mouths to say something to the Grindylows.
Those Grindylows seemed to have received some kind of order. They turned around as well and charged fiercely toward Cedric and the other two.
