Barty Crouch Jr. felt his feet return to the ground. He braced himself against the edge of the Pensieve, looked at the faintly rippling silver liquid inside, and struggled to digest everything he had just seen.
"That Lovegood actually..." He truly could not calm himself, and said in disbelief, "split the Black Lake in two just like that?"
"But why... I couldn't understand what he did. And the way the Black Lake moved was far too strange... Was it really split apart by Lovegood?"
Seeing Barty Crouch Jr. like this, Voldemort said with some regret, "Barty, it seems your father's imprisonment of you has snuffed out far too much of your spirituality..."
Barty Crouch Jr. said in panic, "My master, I have truly failed you!"
"Barty, this is why I brought you here..." Voldemort said. "You need to recover the spirituality you lost and learn more of the Magical World's secrets."
"And you have indeed been doing that... but it is not enough! You need to broaden your horizons and understand that you are different from your father! That useless father of yours..."
"His goal was only the tiny Ministry of Magic, while our goal... is the entire world! This world should belong to Wizards!"
Barty Crouch Jr. hurriedly promised, "My master, I will work even harder! I absolutely will not disappoint you!"
"Wizards and Muggles are completely different!" Voldemort continued. "Muggles are like lowly livestock, far too weak by nature..."
"They can barely get by only by relying on a little outside help. Wizards stand above all things! The creations they make can likewise transcend the ordinary."
"Could it be..." Barty Crouch Jr. thought of a possibility. "That Vizet found some kind of Magical Artifact at the bottom of the Black Lake?"
