Vizet began the year exploring new magic, helping classmates and managing the chaos of Lockhart’s Defence lessons. As Lockhart taught him Obliviation, Vizet uncovered deeper principles of memory and gained an Ancient Magic that could erase and modify thoughts.

• Vizet explored the Guardian Chamber, learned the Imperius Curse, and later discovered an ancient mirror passage leading to a Bronze Gate.
• Vizet helped Luna and Hanna in the greenhouses, impressed Professor McGonagall with a button that cast Scourgify, and arranged to study the Animagus process.
• Luna blended Ritual Magic into her Potions work, while Snape reacted to her potion in a way that recalled a red-haired girl from his student days.
• Lockhart released Cornish pixies in class, and Vizet captured them, rescued Neville, repaired the classroom, and earned fifty points.
• Dumbledore and McGonagall discussed Lockhart’s stolen accounts and the memory loss of the people whose experiences he had claimed, while Dumbledore explained why he had kept Lockhart at Hogwarts.

Vizet pursued Ancient Magic, helped Filch and Ron, and learned the Animagus ritual before mastering the Patronus through a painful journey into his past. The arc left him beginning the Mandrake-leaf stage of Animagus study, with Riddle drawing Pansy into helping him.

• Vizet cared for the Mandrake after Lockhart fainted from its cry, then began studying the Animagus ritual with Professor McGonagall and learned to keep a Mandrake leaf in his mouth for a month.
• Vizet repaired Ron’s broken Wand and explored the Guardian Chamber, where Serena’s messages led him to a Pensieve memory about the Memory Extraction Charm and to books in the Restricted Section.
• Vizet helped Mr. Filch cast the Scouring Charm with a Fake Wand, earning greater freedom for himself and students on Filch’s list, while Fred and George showed him the Marauder’s Map.
• Professor Snape tested Vizet against a Boggart Dementor, and Vizet confronted his childhood disability at the orphanage before casting a silver Patronus that spread across Hogwarts.

• Vizet and the Weasley twins entered a Pensieve memory and watched Weirdo Wendelin rescue a girl from an execution before bringing her to Hogwarts.
• Vizet’s Mandrake leaf absorbed into his soul under the full moon, and he worked with McGonagall, Flitwick, and Dumbledore to understand the unusual Animagus process.
• Vizet and Luna furnished the Mystic Corridor while Vizet studied the leaf’s magic and developed his Animagus research with the professors.
• Vizet examined Hagrid’s memories of James and Snape’s confrontation, then placed a Secret-Keeping Charm on Hagrid to keep the hidden events from being revealed.

Vizet investigated the Chamber of Secrets attacks, developed a warning artifact for the Giant Serpent, and helped Dumbledore uncover Dobby’s role in events around Harry. After Colin Creevey was attacked, the group followed fleeing spiders to an abandoned bathroom and found signs of potion brewing.

• Vizet learned from Fred and George about the Animagus Notes and the weather-controlling altar, then began teaching Luna Ancient Magic through a Magical Connection.
• Vizet heard a voice craving blood and flesh on Halloween, and he later found a warning about the Chamber of Secrets beside the petrified Mrs. Norris.
