Everlasting Lin Family

Exile and the Everlasting Order

The Lin Family was originally a branch of the Everlasting Lin Family, rather than a native Ninth-grade family. Its branch possesses half of an Everlasting Order, bestowed by the First Ancestor one hundred thousand years earlier. The other half is missing. 87

The branch was expelled during an internal power struggle. The forces responsible are believed to remain alive and in control of the Everlasting Lin Family, making open use of the incomplete token dangerous. 87

The branch’s inherited objectives are to locate the other half of the token, return to the Everlasting Lin Family, become Inspectors, and investigate matters connected to the Ancient Burial Ground. 87

History

Regulation of the Lower Star Domains

The Everlasting Families’ laws shape the advancement of lower-ranked clans. Their promotion system allowed the Lin Family to rise after Lin You won first place in the Heavenly Pride Competition, while their breakthrough restriction forced the Lin elders to suppress their cultivation until relocation. 5 15 20

Envoy Zhuge granted the Lin Family an Everlasting Family Token and the right to choose a new star domain after its promotion to a Sixth-grade family. 15

Recruitment and Political Intervention

The Zhuge Family took notice of Lin You early, with Elder Zhuge offering him the opportunity to marry into the clan due to his talent. The Lin Family declined the proposal. 8 16

The Families’ authority was also used as political leverage. Qin Feng’s Zhuge token compelled the ancestors of Phoenix Villa and Youlong Cave to apologize to Lin You, while Dai Wenzhao attempted to invoke Everlasting authority to force the Lin Family into the Blood Prison. 43 48

Dai Wenzhao claimed to be enforcing the Everlasting Family’s order impartially, but his actions were tied to the Su Family’s attempt to eliminate the Lin Family. 46 48

Conflict with Lin You

The Sima Family moved against the Lin Family after a dispute involving a Zhuge token. Its forces and allied Inspectors nearly destroyed the Lin Family before Lin You intervened. 69

Sima Yunhan, an Everlasting Family disciple, was killed by Lin You despite invoking the prestige and hidden methods of his family. 73 74

At the Dragon Court, Everlasting Family disciples and prodigies repeatedly clashed with Lin You and Qin Feng over Dao Fruits. Lin You defeated four Profound Immortal Zhuge disciples simultaneously, while Qin Feng defeated four Golden Immortal Everlasting Family cultivators. 97 98 117

Lin You’s Appointment and Challenge to the Order

With Zhuge Family backing, Lin You was appointed an Everlasting Family Appointed Envoy and given authority over two territories, including the power to promote and deploy his own people. 133

His control was recognized throughout the merged Fifth- and Sixth-grade Star Domains: other Inspector offices declared that his will was the will of the Everlasting Family. 136

Lin You later declared that the Lin Family would rank among the Longevity and control the Two Regions’ Spirit Stone distribution. This provoked a coalition of Everlasting Families, which argued that recognition required testing by the eight first-grade Everlasting Families. 155 159

Lin You killed more than a hundred Longevity Realm cultivators from the opposing Families, then confronted their leaders directly as a Quasi-Emperor. 161 167

Settlement and Sima Family Exposure

Lin You offered the hostile Everlasting Families a settlement: thirty million Spirit Stones per family in exchange for ending their grudges. Most accepted and withdrew. 167 168

He spared Patriarch Ximen but took his storage bag. The Sima Family, whose repeated attempts on his life were treated separately, was attacked by Lin You afterward. 168
