Dai Yao broke with Spirit Hall’s dependence, gained Xiao Wu’s Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring, and set out to build a neutral sect. As Tang San pursued revenge and established the Tang Sect, Ning Rongrong reunited with Dai Yao and brought the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s support.

• Dai Yao defeated the Clear Sky Sect’s disciples, while Spirit Hall’s six Titled Douluo fought the sect’s elders and Dai Yao escaped toward Heaven Dou City.
• Dai Yao reunited with Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling, chose Dugu Yan to lead his future sect, and returned to Heaven Dou City before heading to Oakland Academy.
• Dai Yao defeated Oakland’s first team, reunited with Feng Qianli, and learned that Ning Rongrong had sought him after he had already left the city.
• At the Star Dou Great Forest, Dai Yao joined Hu Liena’s group as Tang San arrived in disguise and led them toward Xiao Wu.
• Dai Yao redirected Xiao Wu’s sacrifice from Tang San to himself, gained her Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring, and escaped Di Tian with Xiao Wu’s soul trapped in his spiritual world.

Dai Yao gathered the Four Single Attribute Clans, the Blacksmiths' Association, and other allies to establish the Cyan Lotus Sect while confronting the Star Luo family pursuing him. After returning to Spirit Hall, he rejected the Spirit Beast Clan’s proposed alliance and learned that a figure in the Worship Hall was plotting against him.

• Dai Yao revealed himself to Tang San, defeated Titan, and persuaded Niu Gao to make the Defense Clan the first member of the Cyan Lotus Sect.
• Dai Yao defeated Bai He’s challenge, won the Speed Clan’s consideration, and restored Xiao Wu’s human form so she could take Tang San’s hidden-weapon blueprints.
• Dai Yao defeated Yang Wudi and recruited the Breaking Clan, then organized the clans and Azure Scale Clan under the Cyan Lotus Sect.
• Dai Yao recruited Lou Gao and the Blacksmiths’ Association in Gengxin City, then drew the Star Luo elders away while his companions escaped.
• Dai Yao evaded the Star Luo pursuers with help from Zhu Zhuqing and Dugu Bo, then passed through Wu Pass and reunited with his allies.

Dai Yao aided Qian Renxue’s coup while trying to prevent Tang San from gaining the Sea God inheritance, but the Clear Sky Sect turned the palace battle against Spirit Hall. Tang San became regent, while Dai Yao and the wounded Qian Renxue were trapped inside Heaven Dou City without the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.

• Hu Liena learned Dai Yao was the Asura Emperor, but Dai Yao denied revealing his identity to her, and he discovered Mighty Lion Douluo had arranged the leak.
• Dai Yao spared Partridge after she confessed to betraying him, then accepted Qian Daoliu’s mission to help Qian Renxue seize the Heaven Dou throne.
• Dai Yao disguised himself as Li Feiyu beside Qian Renxue, while Tang San secretly treated Xue Ye and the Clear Sky Sect prepared to support him.
• Qian Renxue revealed herself during the coup, but Dai Yao destroyed Tang San’s signal firework before it could summon reinforcements.
• The Clear Sky Sect elders attacked the palace, and Dai Yao defeated the Seventh Elder’s Martial Soul Avatar before escaping with the injured Qian Renxue.
• Tang San accepted Xue Ye’s final edict, becoming Blue Sky King and regent, while Xue Ke was named heir and the Clear Sky Sect became the state religion.
• Dai Yao helped Qian Renxue flee and agreed to take her to Spirit Hall, but they found it surrounded by Tang Sect disciples and trapped inside Heaven Dou City.

Dai Yao escaped Heaven Dou with Qian Renxue, then reunited with his allies and led them to the Star Luo Empire to avenge his mother. After confronting the Dai Family and defeating Dai Mubai, he challenged the Star Luo Emperor as the battle began.

• Dai Yao escaped Heaven Dou with Qian Renxue through a network of decoys and hidden routes, while Tang San searched for them and became regent of the empire.
• Dai Yao and Qian Renxue traveled by boat and sea, where she grieved over Bibi Dong’s rejection and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan’s destruction before giving him the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.
• Qian Renxue returned to Jialing Pass, while Dai Yao flew to Vast Sea City and reunited with the Cyan Lotus Sect and Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
• Dai Yao asked Dugu Yan and Ning Rongrong to marry him, then learned that Dai Hengyu had been arrested and set out for the Star Luo Empire with his allies.
• Dai Yao’s forces took Wu Pass, and he entered Star Luo City, where Dai Hengyu explained the truth about his mother’s death and the Star Luo imperial family’s role in it.
• Dai Yao rejected the First Elder’s offer of reconciliation and demanded the deaths of the Empress, the Second Elder, and the Star Luo Emperor.
• On his birthday, Dai Yao led his allies to attack the Star Luo Imperial Palace, where Dai Mubai challenged him and was defeated in one strike.
• Dai Yao rose to face the assembled experts and challenged the Star Luo Emperor as the battle began.
