Background

Early Life and First Transmigration

Zhang Huan initially lives in Yan Country with Nannan, whom he treats as a younger sister. The pair support themselves by selling candied hawthorns, with Zhang Huan relying on his appearance and Nannan’s careful work to attract customers 1.

As a wisp of true spirit, Zhang Huan transmigrates into the Desolate Ancient Era. After encountering villagers terrorized by Black Wind Stockade, he kills the bandit lord, rescues the villagers, teaches them a cultivation method, and sends them away on the bandits’ horses 2. He recognizes that a young girl among the survivors possesses the Innate Dao Embryo and deliberately draws her into his cultivation network 2 3.

Rise of the Demonic Court

Zhang Huan spreads the Spirit Absorption Unity Demonic Art under altered Buddhist and Daoist identities, cultivating a vast body of practitioners whose growth feeds back into his own cultivation. Within twenty years, his disciples number in the tens of millions across the Eastern Wasteland’s Southern Territory 3.

After becoming a Saint, he negotiates with the Eastern Wasteland’s major powers to secure his sect while he pursues further opportunities in the starry sky 4.
