Enel gathered his lightning power once again, preparing to launch an attack. He took a deep breath, and the electrical energy throughout his body began to converge, as if it would light up the entire sky.
Haku was not to be outdone. He fixed his gaze on Enel, ready to counter the coming assault. A resolute light flickered in his eyes, as if no force could shake his determination.
Their eyes met in midair, an invisible spark flashing between them. Both knew this battle would decide life and death.
Enel swung the Hammer of the God of Thunder fiercely, and bolts of lightning wove together in the sky, crashing violently toward Haku. The power of the thunder shook the heavens, as if it would devour the entire world. Haku did not dodge; he charged straight into Enel's attack.
Facing Enel's assault, Haku chose not to evade but to rush headlong into it. The Ryujin Jakka in his hand swept out again, black flames carving through the air as if to split the sky itself.
Their attacks collided in midair with a deafening roar. The surrounding air trembled from the clash of these two forces, as if the very space would tear apart.
The hammer Enel had conjured was severed cleanly by Haku's Ryujin Jakka, and his lightning power was neutralized by Haku's Armament Haki.
Seeing this, a hint of despair crept into Enel's heart. He hadn't expected his attack to be so easily blocked.
At the same time, Haku hadn't anticipated Enel's assault to be so ferocious. If his Armament Haki hadn't been strong enough, that blow might have pierced straight through him.
He couldn't help but marvel inwardly—this Enel's power was truly extraordinary.
Their eyes met again, and this time, Enel no longer wore his usual air of superiority.
Enel knew he had to finish Haku quickly. If his own power ran out, he would be in danger.
Bolts of lightning burst from Enel's body, weaving together in the sky as if to illuminate the entire heavens.
Haku did not dodge. He charged straight into Enel's attack.
His Ryujin Jakka swept out once more, black flames carving through the air as if to split the sky.
Their attacks collided in midair with a deafening roar.
The power they continuously unleashed caused the very heavens and earth to change color.
The surrounding air trembled from these two forces, as if the entire space would tear apart.
The whole of God's Island was engulfed in a sea of flames. The power on God's Island made everyone tremble.
To the Skypieans and the Angel Islanders, the battle between Haku and Enel was like an apocalyptic war.
Yet even Haku had to admit the formidable combat strength the Rumble-Rumble Fruit granted Enel.
If Enel had systematically learned the Three Types of Haki, his strength could have skyrocketed to a level comparable to a Sweet Commander under Big Mom.
Of course, that was the ceiling. Because Enel's physical toughness, close-combat skill, and battle awareness were all far too lacking.
This was not only his weakness but also a major factor limiting his further development of his Devil Fruit ability.
Although Enel's move like the 200 Million Volt God of Thunder looked impressive, the moment his lightning energy was completely drained by Haku, his death would be imminent.
At this point, Haku and Enel had separated after their latest clash.
Haku observed that the energy on his opponent had dimmed considerably, and the thunder god form his power had taken had shrunk by about a third.
Enel didn't care about Haku's calculations.
"Lightning Whip!"
He manifested a Z-shaped weapon in his hand and hurled it toward Haku.
"Zanka no Tachi, East: Rising Sun Blade!"
Haku concentrated all the heat of Ryujin Jakka's flames onto the tip of the blade, neither burning nor unleashing explosive fire.
With a single light strike, he erased everything in its path without a trace.
"Zanka no Tachi, West: Burning Prison Robe!"
After neutralizing the enemy's attack, Haku transformed his Spiritual Pressure into flames of 15 million degrees, draping them over his body and blade like a cloak of blazing sun.
He crossed the distance with Shunpo and appeared directly in front of Enel. The Ryujin Jakka in his hand swung down squarely.
"Looking for death!" Enel snarled as he saw his opponent closing in. He raised his right hand, now a giant palm, and slapped forward.
It was at this moment that the gap between someone who could use Haki and someone who couldn't became clear.
The Ryujin Jakka in Haku's hand, coated in extreme heat and Armament Haki, easily sliced through Enel's right palm.
The blade flashed, and the Haki-infused slash severed Enel's energy-formed right arm.
"How can this be!" As the arm fell, Enel's thunder god form shrank even further.
After this successful strike, Haku said flatly, "Alright. I've played with you long enough. It's time to end this."
Enel roared in fury, "Bastard! Do you think this battle with this god is some kind of game?"
Haku nodded seriously. "What else? You're just too weak."
"Bastard!" Enel cursed again under his breath.
Haku then reached his left hand forward, pulling a mask out of thin air, and placed it directly onto his face.
A thick, tangible aura of evil erupted with a sharp cry.
Enel's expression shifted. From the moment Haku put on that mask, he felt he could no longer defeat the man before him.
The shadow of death loomed over his heart. For some reason, he felt a strong urge to flee.
But his pathetic pride as a self-proclaimed god would not let him run.
Haku spoke in his now low and hoarse voice: "It just so happens I've never tried using a Cero on a person before, so I'll trouble you to be my guinea pig this time!"
Enel had no idea what Haku was talking about, but one thing he could be sure of was that Haku's next move would be anything but simple.
As Enel was pondering this, Haku raised the Zanpakuto in his hand, pointing its tip straight at Enel.
An invisible energy was rapidly condensing, and a black sphere gathered at the tip of the Zanpakuto.
Enel, who possessed Mantra, sensed the energy at the sword's tip. A trace of despair surfaced in his heart—he understood that he simply couldn't block this attack.
"Cero!"
The black sphere at the tip of Haku's Zanpakuto exploded in an instant, hurtling toward Enel at a speed beyond what the naked eye could track.
