Enel mustered the remaining lightning energy within his body, conjuring a lightning shield before himself in an attempt to block Haku's attack.

In an instant, dust and smoke billowed, spreading far and wide, creating a massive mushroom cloud above God's Island.

Three-quarters of the island's vegetation was completely obliterated, and a semicircular crater formed at its center.

Haku's body slowly descended from the air toward the crater's core, where a faint figure could be seen lying within. Haku looked at Enel, now charred black in the pit.

He hadn't expected the man's vitality to be so tenacious, surviving after taking a Cero.

Haku scanned him with his Observation Haki, then a look of realization crossed his face.

He hadn't thought Enel still had the strength left to secretly use electrotherapy, sending electric shocks to his own heart to stimulate it back into beating after it had stopped.

Haku spoke slowly, "Why bother? I told you, today you die for sure."

Enel forced open his charred eyelids. The corner of his eye glanced toward Haku, his gaze seeming to beg for mercy, as if saying, Spare this god.

Haku said no more, pulling an apple he had just picked on the island from his System Space.

Though Haku suspected this system mission was tied to the system reward, making it likely the reward would be the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.

And Haku himself had long coveted Enel's Rumble-Rumble Fruit ability, but what if?

What if the system reward this time wasn't the Rumble-Rumble Fruit ability?

For that reason, Haku had prepared two contingencies.

If his system reward wasn't the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, then after killing Enel, the Devil Fruit power within him would need to find a new vessel.

And the apple in Haku's hand perfectly met the requirements for such a vessel.

Haku fixed his gaze on Enel, and with a swift motion of his blade, he ended the man's life.

After finishing his preparations, Haku reopened his Status Panel!

But awakening a Logia fruit was no easy feat—it required developing the Rumble-Rumble Fruit's power to a certain level at the very least.

As for the next task, Haku looked at the Quest Menu and his expression stiffened again.

His next mission was: single-handedly take on one of the Four Emperors' pirate crews, with no time limit and no location restriction!
