Background / History

Yang Chen’s parched Divine Soul is nourished by the primordial life force absorbed through his newly acquired Dao Body after his transmigration. It rapidly recovers from the pain of being torn apart, before being penetrated by the malicious spiritual imprint accompanying Rahula’s inherited Immeasurable Tribulation Karma. 1

The Heavenly Punishment Divine Thunder and the converging wills of the Heavenly Dao’s rulers target Yang Chen’s existence directly rather than merely his body. The suppression leaves him unable to move, while the gathered wills seek the annihilation of his True Spirit and eventual crushing through Reincarnation. 2

The binding of the Karma Exemption System occurs as Yang Chen’s soul approaches destruction. The system’s information enters his mind directly and gives him the means to reject karmic repayment rather than accept spiritual annihilation. 3

During the initial confrontation with the Heavenly Dao and the Saints, Yang Chen’s Divine Soul endures the ceaseless curses and wails of the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin clans. Their resentment attacks his Dao Heart and is stated to be sufficient to destroy an ordinary Grand Unity Golden Immortal’s Divine Soul within three breaths. 5

He later enters his Sea of Consciousness in divine-sense form to confront the resentful souls inhabiting the sea of Karmic Force. The Heaven and Earth Profound Yellow Exquisite Pagoda manifests above this form and blocks the assaults of innumerable souls without disturbance. 22
