Background / History

The Witch Clan are former absolute overlords of the Primordial World. They trace their power and identity to Pangu’s bloodline, cultivate their physical bodies rather than Primordial Spirits, reject reverence for the Heavenly Dao and Saints, and recognize strength as their central principle. Their current path is nevertheless described as constrained: without Primordial Spirits, they cannot be entrusted to the Heavenly Dao or attain the Primordial Dao Fruit, leaving the clan vulnerable to eventual annihilation in a future calamity. 36 43

Their territory lies amid desolate, crimson earth and rugged mountains near Buzhou Divine Mountain. Their immense tribes are built from giant stones and beast bones; clan members train, hunt, and temper their bodies through harsh, primitive methods. 37

The clan’s spiritual center includes twelve enormous Ancestral Witch Stone Statues. These statues embody the clan’s faith, suppress its fortune, and preserve the will and bloodline imprint of the Twelve Ancestral Witches. They had remained largely dormant for countless ages outside major sacrificial occasions. 37

Ancestral Witch Stone Statues

The Twelve Ancestral Witch Stone Statues are colossal divine-stone totems in the central tribal plaza, each depicting a distinct form and embodying immense ancient authority. They are tied to the clan’s spiritual faith, fortune, and inherited will. 37

When Yang Chen arrives while openly releasing Ancestral Dragon Bloodline Power, the statues awaken simultaneously. Their blood-red will locks onto his body and bloodline rather than his Divine Soul or magical power, reacting to both the Pangu aura within him and the inherited enmity of Demon Ancestor Rahula. 37 38

• Their pressure could crush an ordinary Grand Unity Golden Immortal’s physical body and prevent the escape of its True Spirit. 37

Twelve Capital Celestial Evil Formation

The Twelve Capital Celestial Evil Formation is the Witch Clan’s supreme formation and greatest strategic reliance. It is formed from Pangu’s essence blood, suppresses the clan’s destiny, and is capable of stabilizing elements, suppressing chaotic energy, and manifesting Pangu’s true form. 42

Yang Chen’s arrival

The Karma Exemption System identifies the Witch Clan as Yang Chen’s next major karmic entanglement. This connection stems from Rahula’s ancient battle and enmity with Pangu, inherited by Yang Chen, as well as Yang Chen’s possession of Ancestral Dragon Essence Blood, which naturally attracts the clan’s attention and hostility. 36

Yang Chen travels openly to Witch Clan territory, deliberately broadcasting his Bloodline Power. The clan initially treats him as either an exceptionally powerful returning Great Witch or an enemy seeking conflict. 37

Statue awakening and Houtu’s intervention

Yang Chen’s aura awakens the Twelve Ancestral Witch Stone Statues, whose conflicting response reflects both hostility toward Rahula’s inherited karma and recognition of Pangu’s Law of Strength. Houtu personally intervenes, calming the situation and assessing whether Yang Chen represents disaster or opportunity. 37 38

Xing Tian’s challenge

Xing Tian detects Rahula’s presence within Yang Chen and challenges him according to the Witch Clan’s direct martial customs. Houtu attempts to stop the confrontation but cannot prevent Xing Tian’s battle intent from escalating. 39

Yang Chen responds by activating his Ancestral Dragon Essence Blood and taking a hundred-foot, dark-golden combat form. Rather than fight outright, he warns that losing control could cause him to self-destruct and annihilate the tribe and its sacred statues. Xing Tian abandons his attack rather than endanger the clan. 40 41

Negotiation and proposed alliance

Houtu invites Yang Chen to remain within the tribe and offers the Twelve Capital Celestial Evil Formation as both protection and restraint. 42

Within Pingxin Hall, Houtu acknowledges the ancient enmity carried by Yang Chen but proposes that the Witch Clan cooperate with him. She explains that the clan’s bloodline-based path has reached a dead end and identifies Yang Chen as a variable capable of opposing the Heavenly Dao and Saints. 43

Houtu later entrusts the future safety of the Witch Clan to Yang Chen in anticipation of her plan to become Reincarnation. Yang Chen instead identifies her Path of Reincarnation as another source of immense karma. Facing the clan’s precarious future, Houtu submits to Yang Chen’s terms and asks what reward he desires. 44 45
