Su Quan didn't bother with Hughie, nor did he plan to bother with Billy. It wasn't that he had a good temper—it was that he was in a good mood right now!
When Billy fought Starlight, the battle rewards dropped a Super Soldier Serum like a nesting doll. When he fought Su Quan himself, another Super Soldier Serum dropped!
Was it his high drop rate, or was Su Quan just that lucky?
"Why!"
Billy gripped Su Quan's wrists with both hands, his face flushed red, his expression pained, and rasped in a broken, hoarse voice: "Why did you turn me into a superhuman? Are you friend or foe?!"
"Friend or foe?"
"That's for you to decide!"
Su Quan let go of Billy, let out a scoff, and walked over to Starlight. He wrapped an arm around her waist, and with a thunderous roar, shot up into the sky, vanishing into the vast night.
Billy silently picked up the file from the ground. He'd imagined the other man might kill him or hand him over to Vought International, but he never expected to be turned into a superhuman!
"You okay?" Hughie looked at Billy, who seemed a bit dazed, and asked softly, "Do you, do you know who they are?"
"I'll find out!"
Billy shook his head. That woman was one thing, but that Asian man—
Not only did he possess multiple powerful abilities like Heat Vision, Super Speed, flight, and incredible defense and strength, but he could also turn others into superhumans!
Who was this powerful, mysterious guy, and where did he come from?
He seemed to know a lot about me, aware that I had evidence of superhumans and Vought's crimes. So what was his purpose in turning me into a superhuman?!
Lost in thought, Billy limped out of the alley with Hughie and headed to a nearby bar.
He needed Hughie to see the contents of the file, to strengthen his resolve against Vought, and also to calmly consider all the situations he might face now that he was a superhuman!
Su Quan chose to turn Billy into a superhuman just to test the success rate of the Super Soldier Serum. After all, failure meant death, and he wasn't close to Billy. Better Billy died than one of his own people, right?
If it succeeded, Billy became a super soldier, a superhuman.
If it failed, he could always kill Homelander later to avenge him.
Next, Su Quan planned to test whether the Super Soldier Serum had a one-hundred-percent success rate on superhumans and whether the abilities could be compatible!
If Compound V and the Super Soldier Serum didn't conflict, then the army he wanted to build could be even stronger!
On the street, Starlight mustered her courage and spoke up: "You, where are you going now? Can I, can I go home?"
"Your legs are on your body. Where you go is your freedom." Su Quan's reply was very indifferent.
Starlight couldn't help asking: "Didn't you say before that I made your heart race? Are you just letting me go like that, no regrets? Or are you not interested in me at all, and all that heart-racing stuff was fake?"
Starlight's reaction was very off.
Su Quan looked at her with a half-smile, waiting until her embarrassed gaze darted away before saying unhurriedly: "Something easily lost isn't worth regretting."
What does that mean?
Because I didn't want to join The Seven and gave up on the deal, I became something easily lost? Not worth regretting, not worth caring about?
Do you know how much resolve it took for me to come find you?
Do you know how precious and important what you call 'easily lost' is to me?!
You bastard!
Starlight wasn't a doll without a temper. She didn't dare lose her temper at Su Quan, but that didn't mean she couldn't get angry.
"I'm going home!" Starlight stopped, her tone harsh.
Su Quan casually waved his hand: "Goodbye."
Starlight stared wide-eyed as Su Quan walked away without stopping, and she cursed angrily: "Goodbye forever, you bas—"
Su Quan, already far off, suddenly turned his head and glanced at Starlight. She immediately choked on her words, looking around and pretending to hail a cab.
Only when she felt his gaze lift did she sneak a peek—Su Quan was already gone without a trace.
Fury, grievance, and a reluctance she might not even have noticed herself made her stomp her foot hard.
The ground instantly cracked and dented.

"Whoosh—whoosh—" The wind suddenly picked up, slicing through the night sky like a blade, making pedestrians' hair fly and skirts sway.
Watching the target, completely unaware, A-Train felt a hint of contempt in his heart.
A few minutes ago, under Homelander's orders, he'd found this man and followed him with Super Speed, observing everything clearly!
He didn't understand why Homelander wanted him to monitor this seemingly ordinary, unremarkable Asian man.
But he didn't dare refuse, and he couldn't refuse!
The incident where he killed someone had hurt his popularity. The company had helped cover it up but was very dissatisfied with the impact, and seemed to be considering replacing him with another speedster, Shockwave. That was something he absolutely couldn't accept.
Homelander promised that if he monitored this Asian man and thoroughly investigated his situation, he would pressure the company to support A-Train staying in The Seven.
Looking at the clueless target, A-Train felt this was in the bag!
"God is fair—if He gives you an ugly face, He'll definitely give you a low IQ to keep you from looking mismatched!"
Su Quan continued to pretend the smug A-Train didn't exist, using Super Hearing to locate someone.
Half an hour later, A-Train's bored expression gradually turned strange.
This was his girlfriend's neighborhood!
What's he doing here this late? Does he live here too? Fuck—why is he going into my girlfriend's apartment!
Watching the other man head straight into the building with clear purpose, a nagging unease made A-Train curse under his breath as he followed.
This building has plenty of tenants—it shouldn't be—
Wang Defa!!!
A-Train stared at the figure knocking on his girlfriend's door, completely stunned.
He... he's here for my girlfriend?!
Coming all this way from so far, this late, with clear intent—if he claimed not to know her, not even a ghost would believe it.
Damn it, did The Female cheat on me—
Rage surged instantly. Just as A-Train was about to make the cheating couple pay, he suddenly noticed the man turn his head and flash him a mocking smile.
"Surprised? Shocked?"
"You—" A-Train's eyes went wide with shock. What does he mean? Did he spot me long ago?
Impossible!
Absolutely impossible!
I'm so fast—there's no way he could have noticed me. If he had, why would he only—
"Who is it?"
A woman's voice came from inside the room.
Then the door opened.
The moment it did, A-Train was horrified to see the man's mocking grin magnify a hundredfold—he had instantly appeared right in front of him!
"Bam!"
Before he could react, A-Train felt himself briefly airborne, then crashed onto the floor of The Female's living room.
His neck throbbed slightly. Belatedly, he realized the other man must have grabbed him by the throat and tossed him from the hallway into the living room.
How did he do that?
Is he a speedster too?
His speed... is even faster than mine?!
A-Train's first thought was that it was impossible—there couldn't be a speedster he didn't know about, and there couldn't be one faster than him!
"Who are you?"
"A-Train? What—what's wrong? Are you okay?"
A short-haired woman in casual clothes stared in shock at Su Quan's sudden appearance, then spotted A-Train on the floor. Surprised, she rushed over to help him up.
But A-Train didn't even look at her. He pushed her hand away, got up on his own, and stared straight at Su Quan.
"You're a speedster too?"
"Running around me flaunting yourself the whole way—you didn't really think I didn't notice, did you? No way, no way—you actually thought you could tail someone even Homelander wouldn't dare follow without being caught?"
He didn't need to ask—A-Train was definitely following him on Homelander's orders.
Sure, Homelander acted like a scared mouse around him, but even a heel could figure out he wouldn't just accept it. He'd take action, at least to find out who Su Quan was and where he came from.
A-Train's already coal-black face darkened further. The mockery made him realize he might have been set up by Homelander.
"You got a grudge against Homelander?" Su Quan asked.
