"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" A-Train muttered to himself, shaking his head in denial. "Of course we don't have a grudge. What do you mean by that?"

"No grudge, then why did he send you to tail me? Oh, don't tell me you don't know anything. Poor bastard!"

"Know what?" A-Train felt a twinge of unease and pressed for an answer.

"Doesn't matter to you anymore." Su Quan's hand produced the Super Soldier Serum out of thin air.

Compound V?

It looked similar, but A-Train couldn't be sure, and he wasn't about to take the risk!

"Whoosh--"

A-Train decided to get out of there first and find Homelander to sort things out.

But the other man blocked him like a nightmare, shadowing his every move and cutting off his escape.

Faster! Faster! Faster!

I have to be faster!

Once, twice, again and again—A-Train was getting frantic. The guy's speed matched his own.

No, strike first or be struck!

He was faster than me!

Watching the syringe in the other man's hand inch closer, A-Train, already at full throttle, felt a sharp pang in his heart.

Thanks to constantly using Compound V as a stimulant, his heart couldn't handle prolonged high-speed running anymore.

"No, if I keep this up, my heart's going to give out. I have to create a chance to escape!"

A-Train glanced at The Female, who was anxiously looking around, dumbly searching for their figures. He spun around and shoved her toward the syringe that was almost upon them.

Su Quan raised an eyebrow slightly but didn't stop.

"Ahh—" A pained scream accompanied The Female's collapse.

She stared in disbelief at the open door and her boyfriend's vanishing figure, unable to accept that the man she deeply trusted and loved would do this.

He sacrificed her to escape!

Su Quan didn't bother chasing A-Train. Injecting superhumans with the Super Soldier Serum carried some risk, but based on past experience, a one-hundred-percent success rate was more likely.

If A-Train hadn't sacrificed The Female to flee and had taken the Super Soldier Serum himself, there was a good chance it could have fixed the heart problems caused by Compound V, making him stronger and faster!

Life is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you're gonna get.

That held true for the fleeing A-Train, and for The Female, who thought she was doomed.

As a side note, the fight with A-Train only dropped 5 Points.

On the couch, Su Quan closed the system panel, waiting for results, and looked at The Female, who had woken from her unconscious state.

The Female lay motionless on the floor, eyes vacant, sweat rolling down her body. Her loose home clothes had grown slightly tight.

After the enhancement from the Super Soldier Serum, her figure was even more balanced and perfect than before.

"Good evening—or not, whatever you like." Su Quan greeted her.

The Female seemed lost in the grief of being sacrificed by her boyfriend, neither speaking nor moving, as if she had shut out the world to wallow in her sorrow.

Su Quan clicked his tongue and fired a Heat Vision blast at the floor beside her face.

The scorching red ray instantly burned a hole through the floor.

"Keep playing dead, and I'll put you out of your misery for real."

Su Quan's icy tone, along with the lingering heat from the floor, finally got a reaction from The Female. She slowly sat up.

"Dramatic."

Su Quan said bluntly, "Even boiling water at a hundred degrees cools down, let alone a human heart at thirty-seven."

The Female blinked, her expression gradually coming to life as she shook her head, her voice hoarse. "You don't understand."

"I don't understand? Ha, I understand too well. Most relationships go like this: the story's short, not hard to tell—blushing when you meet, red-eyed when you part."

"These days, who can't live without who? Was A-Train your first boyfriend? No, right?"

The Female shook her head instinctively.

Su Quan continued irritably, "Then why are you playing zombie for me? Get up. Tell me if your body's changed, and if your original abilities are affected."

The blunt scolding made The Female instinctively rise and check her body's condition. At the same time, she raised her wrist, and a long, sharp bone blade slowly extended.

That was her ability, and the reason she was called The Female.

"I... my ability's fine. I just feel like my body's full of endless strength. I think I'm stronger."

"But it's a little strange—" The Female looked at the muscles in her arms and the lines on her stomach, hesitating. "What... what did you inject me with?"

The drug The Female was talking about was Compound V.

To highlight his own importance, Homelander secretly had A-Train deliver Compound V to a certain Terrorist Organization, letting them inject adults to cultivate super-villains for terrorist activities. Then Homelander would take them down, boosting his heroic image and giving him more leverage.

Although A-Train had never directly contacted the terrorists, he had secretly injected Compound V himself and gotten addicted.

The Female had tried to talk him out of it, but it was useless.

Speaking of which, one of Su Quan's targets for bringing back from this world to the Marvel world was a victim of Homelander's super-villain breeding plan.

Wolf Girl—Himiko!

If he hadn't been followed by A-Train after parting ways with Starlight, Su Quan had originally planned to find her. Compared to Queen Maeve and Starlight, Himiko had fewer ties to this world—only a brother who later became a superhuman too.

Both siblings had impressive abilities.

The sister had a strong Self-Healing Ability. Since she became a superhuman by injecting Compound V as an adult, her thinking and language skills were affected to varying degrees.

Her fighting style and methods leaned toward the bestial, almost like a knockoff Wolverine, which earned her the nickname Wolf Girl.

The brother didn't appear much. He was later killed by Storm, and his ability seemed to be telekinetic control, with a fighting style similar to a knockoff Magneto.

The Female's successful enhancement meant Su Quan's theory was correct. The Super Soldier Serum dropped from combat rewards not only had a one-hundred-percent injection success rate but was also compatible with Compound V.

In other words, the reverse was also true.

That meant the Super Soldier Serum and Compound V could complement each other, making the injector's overall strength greater and raising their ceiling higher!

By extension, the same should apply to the Red Room's serum for controlling Black Widow and the Extremis Virus.

This made Su Quan want to return to the Marvel world.

The Marvel world was his home base, his foundation. His career had just started, and it was Not Suitable to stay away too long. Besides, he could come back to this world anytime—there was no rush.

Su Quan glanced at The Female, who was waiting for an explanation. "Life is one fool thing after another, while love is two fool things after each other. You—take care of yourself!"

The journey of life—whether it's Spring Snow or Vegetables and Tofu—you have to taste it all to not have lived in vain.

Though she wanted to leave the best for her brother, if The Female had that kind of idea, Su Quan wouldn't be too pretentious to refuse.

After all, he wasn't the one losing out!

The Female blinked in confusion. Kowtow or offer herself—whatever. She just didn't understand why.

She didn't know what had been injected, but it was clearly something that could permanently or long-term enhance her physical abilities across the board.

He wasn't planning to take her away for research, nor did he intend to silence her. Wasn't he afraid others would find out about this serum's effects?

Like A-Train, who probably thought she was dead?

Thinking of A-Train, The Female felt another pang of bitterness.

The rope always breaks at the thinnest point; misfortune always finds the unlucky. If luck isn't enough, try courage. When you have nothing to lose, why hesitate?

The Female took a deep breath, stopped wondering why, and fixed her eyes on the man who had changed her fate. "Stay—or I'll go with you!"

"Your place is too small for me."

The Female's face darkened instantly, then she heard him continue, "Pack your things. Follow me. You probably won't have a chance to come back here."

"I'll pack right now!"

Overjoyed, The Female rushed into the room and began rummaging through everything to gather her belongings.
