As soon as the words left his mouth, Elongated Man's smug expression froze. He looked down at his chest in disbelief—a scorching wound had been punched clean through, clear and bright.
Thud!
Elongated Man, his life gone, dropped to his knees and slowly collapsed at Starlight's feet.
Starlight stared blankly at Elongated Man's corpse, then let out a terrified scream.
The piercing shriek instantly drew everyone's attention. They saw the screaming Starlight, Elongated Man lying on the ground with a hole through his body, and Su Quan, the red glow fading from his eyes.
But no one spoke up. No one came over to meddle.
The nightclub fell silent for a few seconds, then quickly returned to its usual noise—people partying, drinking, as if nothing had happened.

Ding! "Combat detected. Drop reward: Size Manipulation (Elongated Man)."
One shot, one kill. Not bad.
"Are you going to seek justice for him? Stand up for what's right?"
Su Quan looked at Starlight with mockery. Starlight stared blankly at Elongated Man's ignored corpse and said nothing.
She regretted asking to meet Su Quan.
Whether it was the depraved, filthy sights in the nightclub or the corner of the real world Su Quan had torn open for her, everything had shaken her long-held beliefs and understanding.
Watching Su Quan turn and walk away, Starlight hesitated for a few seconds, then followed.
Nightclub, security room.
Bearded Billy brought Hughie in and had the guard pull up a video.
In the footage, A-Train was drinking.
"Wait, A-Train is here right now?" Hughie asked urgently.
"Was. This was taken last night. Turn on the sound," Billy said to the guard.
On screen, a man clearly dressed as a superhero sat down next to A-Train.
"Can't believe you turned some bitch into paste."
"You wanna hear something crazy?" A-Train's voice came through. "When I tore through his body, I was going so fast I swallowed one of her molars. Like a bug on the highway!"
"Dude, that's disgusting."
"Hahaha!"
"Hahaha!"
The two in the video burst out laughing, as if it were some hilarious joke.
"They're laughing—like she's a joke. They're fucking laughing!" Hughie gritted his teeth, staring at A-Train on the screen. His usual fear and hesitation had turned into anger and resolve.
Billy came up beside him. "So what are you gonna do?"
Hughie gave him a firm look. Everything was said without words.
Alley outside the nightclub.
Su Quan raised a hand in greeting to Hughie and Billy as they came out.
"Hey, come here. Let's talk."
They had seen Su Quan kill Elongated Man with Heat Vision. Now that he was calling them over, Hughie instinctively felt afraid.
That was the same Heat Vision as Homelander!
Billy frowned with disgust. He had no love for superhumans, especially someone with powers identical to Homelander's.
A smile could be politeness. Sometimes, it was a warning.
Right now, Su Quan's smile had clearly become the latter.
Watching the two approach reluctantly—especially Billy, whose eyes were full of disgust—Su Quan pointed at him and looked at Starlight.
"He's carrying something that'll give you answers!"
Starlight watched Billy step back warily. Unable to refuse Su Quan but desperate for answers, she took a few steps forward. "I don't know what it is, but please hand it over."
"I don't know what you're talking about, and I don't have what you want!"
Starlight looked troubled as Billy refused to back down. A faint crackle of electricity flickered in her eyes.
The sound of sparks buzzed around them. A distant streetlight went pop and instantly went dark.
"I don't want to fight you—so hand it over!"
She was a superhuman too.
"Fine, I'll give it to you—" Billy reached into his trench coat. Seeing Starlight's expression relax, his eyes turned sharp and vicious.
"Go to hell!"
What he pulled out was unmistakably a handgun!
The black muzzle aimed at Starlight, Bearded Billy didn't hesitate as he quickly pulled the trigger, while dragging the terrified Hughie and turning to run.
"Bang bang bang—bang bang bang—" Bullets poured out, clattering to the ground.
Starlight stared blankly at the figure standing in front of her, never expecting that he would actually take the bullets for her at the critical moment.
For some reason, she felt an indescribable sense of trust and safety.
"Ding!"
"Combat detected, drop reward: 3 Points"
"If you don't act now, they'll get away." Su Quan didn't turn around.
"Oh—oh—" Reacted, Starlight dodged past Su Quan and swung her arms fiercely toward Bearded Billy and Hughie, who were running for the alley exit.
"Zzzzz—"
Two bolts of electric light struck their targets instantly, and Bearded Billy and Hughie collapsed with screams.
"Ding!"
"Combat detected, drop reward: Light Emission and Energy Absorption (Starlight)"
"Ding!"
"Combat detected, drop reward: 1 Point"
"Ding!"
"Combat detected, drop reward: 5 Points"
Listening to the pleasant chimes, Su Quan felt the system's name was truly fitting!
In just a few days, he had easily obtained multiple abilities!
No matter who it was, if he fancied their ability, he could just shout: Hand it over!
Even the same ability could stack effects—though for now, it was only confirmed for physical attributes, it was still a case of the student surpassing the master.
Su Quan thought of a Marvel god-tier broken character—Mimic, who could infinitely copy and infinitely stack abilities!
Aside from the method, his own ultimate ceiling was the same as Mimic's.
No, he should say his ceiling was even higher than Mimic's.
Mimic couldn't copy his system, but he could obtain Mimic's abilities through the system's drop rewards.
Even—if The One Above All made a move, Su Quan would have a chance to gain its ability!
He could also travel to worlds beyond Marvel to acquire even stronger, more unique abilities. So bread would come, milk would come, everything would come—

Bearded Billy had a file on him, containing years of his investigations into superhuman crimes and Vought International's cover-ups and distortions of the truth.
He had prepared it for Hughie, wanting him to see the darkness beneath the sunlight and stand up to fight against Vought International and those so-called superheroes.
Starlight flipped through the file, and the shocking contents made her expression gradually turn grim and furious.
"Su Quan was right. I was too naive. These so-called superheroes really are just scumbags with a facade of greatness and justice!"
Starlight looked at Su Quan: "I—I don't want to join The Seven anymore."
"Up to you."
Su Quan's indifferent attitude left Starlight stunned. After all, there was a deal between them, with conditions attached—and he was just giving it up that easily?
For some reason, Starlight felt a pang of uncertainty!
Su Quan didn't care because the deal was only one of his goals. His real aim was for Starlight to experience the darkness of the real world and mature from it.
