Zhuang Yuechan first traveled with Zhu Yiqun’s cultivator group out of Liuyun Market. She arrived veiled and initially reacted coldly to Song Changsheng after learning he belonged to the Song Clan, though the cause of her attitude was not immediately revealed 36. Her identity became clear after her Senior Martial Brother, Niu Dazhuang, arrived: she was a direct disciple of Mu Guibai, the Great City Lord of Sunset City 45.

Despite Niu Dazhuang’s hostility toward the Song Clan, Yuechan refused to abandon Song Changsheng and defended him. Their early distrust gradually changed after they fought and faced danger together 45 145. By the time Song Changsheng visited Heavenly Sound Mountain, Yuechan was representing her sect in receiving distinguished guests and assisting with Sunset City affairs 140.

During the Blood Demon Sect’s attack on Sunset City, Yuechan assumed command amid public panic. She ordered the immediate execution of looters, deployed forces to locate Wu Luochuan, and later accepted Xu Yunhe’s counsel after blaming herself for letting the enemy escape 213. Her experience in the crisis strengthened her resolve as a future protector of Sunset City.

While pursuing cultivation opportunities beyond Great Qi, Yuechan obtained Geng Metal Qi and was pursued into the Meteorite Mountain Range 382. She was subsequently selected as the vessel for True Monarch Yusu’s remnant divine soul and inheritance. The attempted possession left her unconscious after the fusion process; Song Changsheng entered her Sea of Consciousness to help awaken her, while Sunset City prepared to eliminate her if Yusu’s consciousness had replaced her own 387 581 606.

Yuechan awoke after integrating the inheritance, retaining her own identity and gaining access to Yusu’s Law of Life 613. She delayed marriage until she could reach the Purple Palace Stage and stand beside Song Changsheng as his equal 613. She later departed to seek further cultivation experience and recover Yusu’s remaining legacy, including the Artifact Spirit of the Yusu Sword 782. In the Lu Kingdom Cultivation World, she recovered Nameless, restored the sword’s full strength, and destroyed the Ghost Hand Sect after it attempted to ambush her 787 788 789.
