Background / History

Tang San possessed innate full Soul Power, Twin Martial Souls, a Title Douluo father, and powerful hidden weapons. At Shrek Academy, he defeated Zhao Wuji through Blue Silver Grass and hidden-weapon tactics during the entrance test 11 94.

Jiang Qianhai's conflict with Tang Hao placed Tang San directly in danger. Tang San used poisoned needles, a crossbow, and Bone-Corroding Poison to delay Jiang Qianhai, but his poison was neutralized. Xiao Wu was injured while protecting him, and Tang Hao was subsequently killed by Jiang Qianhai 59 60 62. Tang San escaped with his right arm missing and found a letter that revealed his mother was the Blue Silver Emperor and a Soul Beast; he began cultivating the Mysterious Heaven Skill solely to avenge Tang Hao 65.

Living in seclusion as Song Shan, Tang San encountered a Blue Silver King and activated his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. His Martial Soul evolved, his appearance changed drastically, and he became a four-ring Soul Ancestor with a Ten Thousand Year fourth ring 123. He joined Beast Academy through the Meng family's connections, reunited with Yu Xiaogang, and sought support from the Clear Sky Sect against Jiang Qianhai 123.

During the Soul Master Competition, Tang San led the Beast Battle Team against Jiang Qianhai. His Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer and purported godly power failed; Jiang Qianhai defeated and humiliated him. Tang San then exploited Meng Yiran's guilt to seek the Dragon Duke and Snake Granny's aid against his enemy 134 135.

He later participated in the coalition targeting Jiang Qianhai, ostensibly to recover Tang Hao's inherited Soul Bone and rescue Xiao Wu. Tang San used the Rainstorm Pear Blossom Needle as a diversion, but Jiang Qianhai reflected it back at him, severely injuring him. Tang San escaped through a Sea God Divine Artifact fragment that could teleport and heal him near death, though it required a lengthy recharge 151 156 157.

The Evil God and Asura God subsequently cultivated Tang San for their own plan against Jiang Qianhai. After completing divine examinations, he returned to the Douluo Continent as a Super Douluo, fought Bibi Dong with Bodhi Blood and Guanyin Tear, and eventually awakened as the new Evil God 202 212 213 220.

In another world, Tang San acted through split souls and clones while attempting to guide Tang Wulin into becoming a savior against the Abyss. Jiang Qianhai repeatedly destroyed his clones, leaving Tang San without the divine body he had accumulated over countless years 257 277. He later assumed control of the Tang Sect as a Demigod, but was unable to stop an attack by Fixed-Array Soul Guided Shells. Zhu Zhuqing saved him from the ensuing battle, then killed him 279 280.

Personality

Tang San is intensely driven by vengeance against Jiang Qianhai and concern for Xiao Wu. After Tang Hao's death, he dedicates himself to gaining enough power to avenge his father and rescue her 65 123.

He is strategic and resourceful in battle, favoring preparation, hidden weapons, poisons, deception, and escape methods when direct force is insufficient 59 156 157. He also treats relationships pragmatically: he neither accepts nor rejects Meng Yiran's feelings because he needs the Meng family's support, and later manipulates her guilt to recruit her grandparents 123 135.
