Background

The Blood Fiend Sect was once a top Great Sect in the Small Desolate Domain. Its decline began when an exceptionally talented Grand-Uncle entered a demonic state and broke through to Nascent Soul; the sect's Grandmaster sealed him at the cost of an arm. The Grandmaster later reincarnated but never returned, leaving the sect diminished despite retaining its reputation. 471

By the time of its destruction, the sect remained ambitious. Its disciples sought alliances and resources around Yang City in anticipation of True Person Meteor Flame's death, while the sect pursued territorial expansion through its Vertical and Horizontal Alliance. 165 299 430

The sect was infamous for refining the Venerable Soul Banner. Its inheritance treated banner refinement as a secret not passed down outside the sect, and its cultivators relied on an expansive Yin Mountain while also killing and plundering to acquire Yin Souls and Evil Ghosts. 165 299

Conflict with Tu Shan Jun

Tu Shan Jun's enmity with the Blood Fiend Sect began when Demonic Path cultivators refined him into a Soul Banner. He regarded the sect as the force that robbed him of the chance to cultivate as a human. 164 409

After identifying Xiao Wanli at the Ding Family, Tu Shan Jun captured the Blood Fiend Sect envoy and learned of the sect's plans to take a share of Yang City. 164 165 He later killed another sect cultivator sent to contact the Great Black Mountain Ghost King, declaring his intent to eventually eradicate the entire sect. 299

The sect's own internal instability worsened the conflict. Xue Yuan merged with a Demonic Embryo and escaped his Mysterious Ice seal, causing destruction within the sect and forcing Xuan Sha to abandon negotiations with the Myriad Law Sect. 455 456 In the aftermath, the sect lost Xue Yuan, Xue Song, and Black Wind—roughly half of its top combat strength—and activated its Mountain-Sealing Great Array for two months. 471

Xuan Sha sought outside assistance from the Sacred Spirit Sect and the Spirit Demon Sect, while also considering—then rejecting—the release of the sect's dangerous sealed Grand-Uncle. 471 487

Destruction

Tu Shan Jun and True Monarch Taiyi prepared a direct assault after confirming that the Blood Fiend Sect possessed a Nascent Soul Great Cultivator. Their plan was to breach the Mountain-Sealing Great Array, establish a killing array, and refine the sect alive. 503 505

A Demonic Head infiltrated the array and resonated with its array stone, opening the way for the two Nascent Soul True Monarchs. 505 506 The sect's alarm bell sounded as the breach triggered a full mobilization across its thirty-two peaks and twenty-one floating islands. 506

During the battle, Zhao Xuanzhen restored himself by draining Blood Fiend Sect disciples with the White Bone Dragon Binding Spear and later used Demonic Absorption to reduce fleeing disciples to bones and dust. 507 His Demonic Heart Heavenly Attraction then forced roughly half the sect's disciples into demonic states, crippling the sect's defensive formation. 509

Tu Shan Jun answered by releasing tens of thousands of Yin Spirits and Evil Ghosts from the Venerable Soul Banner. The ghosts flooded the sect's peaks and floating islands, killing or capturing its disciples beneath an all-encompassing fog. 510

The siege ended when Tu Shan Jun defeated True Person Xuan Sha and absorbed his power. The Venerable Soul Banner advanced from a low-grade to a mid-grade Spirit Treasure, while the Blood Fiend Sect was destroyed and erased from the Small Desolate Domain's recognized sects. 512
