Xiao Xiao entered Shrek Academy as a Twin Martial Soul student. During the New Student Assessment, she joined Lin Yun and Zheng Xiaolong's team as its control specialist. Lin Yun advised her not to squander the potential of her Twin Martial Souls, while Xiao Xiao offered to support him in the assessment 65 75.

She demonstrated her battlefield control in the team's first match. After Lin Yun incapacitated Wang Chunpeng, Xiao Xiao split her Three Lives Soul Suppressing Cauldron and used Cauldron's Quake and Cauldron's Sway to defeat the remaining opponents 78.

During a break from the academy, Xiao Xiao became a Soul Elder through intensive cultivation. Lin Yun then gave her a Hundred Thousand Year Aromatic Silk Beauty, which evolved her martial souls into the Nine Dragon Cauldron and Cold Phoenix Flute, greatly strengthened her body and meridians, and altered her appearance 122 124.
