After learning that the Dao Ancestor posed a danger and that the Three Pure Ones could not intervene directly, Fang Xun returned to Tai Yi’s army as it faced the Nine Bends Yellow River Formation.

• The Dao Ancestor gave Nuwa the Investiture of the Gods, and Fang Xun arranged for Fu Xi to hold it while refusing to control it himself.
• Fang Xun helped Tai Yi challenge Qiong Chan for Human Race Destiny, then broke through his cultivation bottleneck and created a new path by uniting existence and nothingness.
• Wang Lin defeated the defenders of Tianhuan City, killing the Mo brothers and Shao Dian as the Investiture of the Gods seized their souls.

Fang Xun and his allies broke the Nine Bends Yellow River Formation, then confronted the Sages over the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation. Jiang Nan and the Empress reached Sagehood, Nuwa fought three Sages, and Ye Fan ended the arc by demanding that four Sages serve him.

• Fang Xun sent his allies into the Nine Bends Yellow River Formation, where Su Ming and Jiang Li restrained it, Qin Mu and Wushi challenged its defenders, and Jiang Nan defeated five Interpretation Sect disciples.
• Wang Chao, the Empress, and Heng'e joined the battle as Hongjun and Luohou secretly sent the Shisha Demon God after Heng'e, while Kunpeng and other Chaos Demon Gods attacked Fang Xun.
• Ji Ning reached the Taichu Realm and fought Shisha, while Fang Xun resisted the other Chaos Demon Gods and was trapped in the past by the Karma Demon God.
• Fang Xun survived the past’s attacks and killed the First Epoch Shi Chen Demon God, then returned to help defeat the formation’s defenders as Yunxiao accepted defeat and Fu Xi assigned Kunpeng to him.
• Meng Qi challenged Saint Shangqing at Boundary Tablet Pass, and Jiang Nan broke through to become a Great Dao Sage while the Empress advanced to the Sages’ level.

Fang Xun challenged Hongjun’s plan to seal the Primordial Wilderness and brought the Myriad Heavens into its future. As the Hundred Schools and Buddhism rose, Fang Xun and Meng Qi entered the First Tribulation, while Ye Fan’s expedition uncovered remnants of ancient powers in the Depths of Chaos.

• Fang Xun united the Witch, Demon, and Human fortunes into the Human Path, while Nuwa used the Human Emperor Seal to contest Hongjun’s control of the Heavenly Dao Origin.
• Ye Fan and the Desolate Heavenly Emperor defeated the Dao Ancestor’s body, and the Investiture of the Gods completed the divine hierarchy as the Heavenly Dao reached Great Perfection.

As the Hundred Schools Forum reshaped the Primordial Wilderness, new worlds arrived and Heng'e began her bid to become Human Emperor, drawing the attention of the Sun of Nothingness.

• Fang Xun helped Luohou alter his death in the Dao-Demon War, then returned to Penglai and advanced his cultivation while proposing that the gathered worlds share their Dao systems.
• Fang Xun lectured at the Human Race Academy, where cultivators and visitors from other worlds pooled their wisdom to form the supreme method called Dao.
