Background / History
Tang San was a reincarnator who cultivated the Tang Sect’s Mysterious Heaven Skill from childhood. He possessed Innate Full Soul Power, Twin Martial Souls, and the Tang Sect’s secret arts, yet initially saw Chen Yuan’s greater strength and status as a source of jealousy and pressure 3 34.
While studying at Shrek Academy, Tang San advanced to Level 30 in the Star Dou Great Forest and absorbed a Mandala Snake as his Third Spirit Ring. The ring strengthened his Blue Silver Grass with toughness and venom, granting Blue Silver Snake Entanglement 36 40. He later refused Ning Rongrong’s attempt to purchase the Tang Sect’s Hidden Weapons, maintaining that he could not sell his sect’s inheritance 41.
Ning Fengzhi revealed that Tang San’s father was Tang Hao, the Clear Sky Douluo and a Divine Craftsman. Tang San learned that Tang Hao had killed former Spirit Hall Pope Qian Xunji, provoking retaliation against both Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect 77 78. The revelation left him resentful of his father’s absence but determined to become strong enough to confront Spirit Hall 79 119.
After Shrek Academy’s tournament failure and Dai Mubai’s death, Tang San fell into self-isolation until Tang Hao removed him from the academy for direct training 118 119. His later cultivation centered on the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer and Slaughter Absorption, rapidly increasing his power at the cost of contaminating his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline 141 168.
Personality
Early on, Tang San was proud of his Twin Martial Souls, Tang Sect inheritance, and Innate Full Soul Power. Chen Yuan’s superior cultivation caused him to question both his own talent and the guidance he had received, eventually making him impatient to cultivate his Clear Sky Hammer 34 44.
He was deeply protective of Xiao Wu, pursuing the Titan Giant Ape after it abducted her and repeatedly prioritizing her safety 36 40. He also showed strong loyalty to the Tang Sect’s methods, refusing wealth in exchange for its Hidden Weapons 41.
Slaughter Absorption and the mutation of his Martial Soul progressively changed his temperament. Tang San became increasingly bloodthirsty, treated people and Spirit Beasts as “blood food,” and embraced devouring flesh, blood, vitality, and Soul Power as a means of cultivation 168 170 195. After Tang Hao’s death, revenge against Spirit Hall became his overriding goal 205.
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San possessed Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. His second Martial Soul gave him significant potential, but cultivating both created violent internal Soul Power conflicts.
- His Blue Silver Grass evolved into a Mutated Blue Silver King after its Blue Silver Emperor bloodline was polluted by the essences of countless devoured Spirit Beasts 169.
- He later added six Ten Thousand Year Spirit Rings to the Clear Sky Hammer in only a few days 205.
- The conflicting Soul Powers of both Martial Souls caused painful internal backlash and threatened to make his body explode if both reached seven rings simultaneously 205 226.
Mysterious Heaven Skill and Tang Sect Arts
Tang San cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill, a technique that enabled his Innate Full Soul Power and continued to support his Soul Power growth 3 141.

- Employed Purple Demon Eyes to perceive distant targets, including Sea God Island 229.
- Used Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track for evasive movement and aerial maneuvering 36 229.
- Forged and sold Tang Sect Hidden Weapons, including the Godly Zhuge Crossbow’s assembly method 41 78.
Blue Silver Snake Entanglement
Tang San’s Third Soul Skill inherited the Mandala Snake’s toughness and venom.
- Binds a single target with strengthened Blue Silver Grass.
- Against Soul Elders, the binding is stated to be extremely difficult to break.
- The vines’ venom gradually deprives restrained targets of their ability to resist 40.
Slaughter Absorption
Tang San’s Fourth Soul Skill came from the 5,000-year Bloodthirsty Wolf Spider and transformed his Blue Silver Grass into a predatory weapon.
- Barbed vines pierce targets and drain vitality, blood, and flesh 141.
- Absorbed life force can replenish him in battle and strengthen his physique and Soul Power 141 168.
- The skill’s repeated use polluted his bloodline and intensified his bloodthirst 168 169.
- In Slaughter City, the Mutated Blue Silver King’s devouring became an instinct even when Soul Skills were restricted 195.
Spiderweb Restraint
Tang San’s Fifth Soul Skill creates a blood-red, barbed net.
- Binds targets with a spreading web launched as a projectile.
- The embedded barbs drain the target’s vital essence, blood, and flesh 170.
- Tang Hao believed an unprepared Spirit Emperor or Spirit Saint could suffer heavily if caught 170.
Mutated Blue Silver True Body
Tang San’s Seventh Soul Skill transformed him into masses of blood-red Mutated Blue Silver King vines.
- Doubles his devouring ability.
- Converts consumed flesh and blood into his Soul Power at an accelerated rate 205 208.
- Allowed him to outlast and devour five Clear Sky Sect Titled Douluo Elders 208.
Clear Sky Hammer Techniques
After escaping Spirit Hall, Tang San began actively cultivating the Clear Sky Hammer.
- Haotian Force — increased the hammer’s offensive force against Xiao Bai 229.
- Haotian Strike — used alongside Haotian Force in his attempt to force his way past the Demon Soul Great White Shark King 229.
- The hammer bore six black Spirit Rings before Tang San chose to advance the Mutated Blue Silver King to seven rings instead 205.
Hell Slaughter Arena and Killing Intent
Tang San attained a Hundred-Match Victory in the Hell Slaughter Arena, accumulating immense Killing Intent 195 196.
- Completed Hell Road by swimming through its sea of blood and enduring its final Killing Intent vortex 197.
- A Blood Bat pattern carrying sinister Killing Intent appeared on his Clear Sky Hammer after Hell Road 197.
- The Soul-Devouring Six-Headed Bat King’s influence increasingly seized control of his body, contributing to his changed appearance and an involuntary giant-bat transformation during his escape from Spirit Hall 204 225.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Hidden Weapons — Tang Sect mechanisms he forged himself; he later arranged for the Strength Clan to manufacture and sell them to the Heaven Dou Empire 77 228.
- Godly Zhuge Crossbow — a Tang Sect Hidden Weapon whose sale Ning Rongrong initially sought 41.
- Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges — a storage item recovered from Tang San’s remains after his death 229.
Relationships
- Tang Hao — Father and the Clear Sky Douluo. Tang Hao trained Tang San, pushed him toward rapid cultivation after the Blue Silver Emperor was stolen, and died during Spirit Hall’s Sunset Forest ambush 78 141 203.
- Yu Xiaogang — Teacher. Yu Xiaogang advised him to delay cultivation of the Clear Sky Hammer due to Twin Martial Soul drawbacks and later directed him toward Sea God Island as a possible solution 44 227.
- Xiao Wu — Shrek companion whom Tang San was determined to save from the Titan Giant Ape; after devouring the Clear Sky Sect, he sought her out again 36 225.
- Chen Yuan — Rival whose talent drove Tang San’s insecurity and desire to cultivate his second Martial Soul. Chen Yuan ultimately killed him and absorbed his Killing Aura 34 44 229.
- Ning Fengzhi — Revealed Tang Hao’s identity and negotiated for Tang San’s Hidden Weapon assembly methods 77 78.
- Titan — Leader of the Strength Clan. Tang San entrusted him with forging and selling Hidden Weapons to the Heaven Dou Royal Family 228.

Revelation of the Clear Sky Legacy
