Background / History

Chen Xin is a leading guardian of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and inheritor of the Chen Clan’s Seven Kill Sword. He attended Chen Yuan’s Martial Soul Awakening, recognized the boy’s Seven Kill Sword and Innate Level 9 Soul Power, and chose him as a personal disciple. Accepting Chen Yuan gave him the successor he had wanted for his legacy. 1 2

He trained Chen Yuan at his secluded Back Mountain residence, beginning with weighted iron-sword swings, medicinal baths, and nightly meditation. His teaching was severe, but he personally tended to Chen Yuan when the child collapsed from exhaustion and later developed a structured daily regimen for him. 4

As Chen Yuan progressed, Chen Xin personally selected and subdued Spirit Beasts for his disciple’s Spirit Rings. He taught him the Seven Kill Sword Art, Killing Word Technique, and Refining Rings—the Chen Clan’s three secret arts—and repeatedly tested him through sparring rather than allowing him to rely only on his Martial Soul’s sharpness. 7 12 16 18

Chen Xin initially has white hair and a white beard, though his smooth face makes him appear far younger than his age. His silver hair is tied behind his head; his usual expression is indifferent, and his gaze is notably sharp. 2
