Background / History

Ning Rongrong is Ning Fengzhi's daughter and the treasured “little princess” of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Her Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda is an elite auxiliary Martial Soul, but its support-oriented nature leaves its wielder dependent on protectors. Chen Xin therefore accepts Chen Yuan as his disciple partly so he can guard Rongrong in the future. 1 2

As a child, Rongrong is indulged by Ning Fengzhi, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong. She resists being compared to Chen Yuan's diligence and initially prefers play over cultivation, though she also worries for Chen Yuan during dangerous spirit-ring absorption. 5 8 15

She obtains her first spirit ring from a Great Strength Gorilla after overcoming her fear and personally killing the unconscious beast. The ring brings her to level 12 and grants a strength-enhancing support skill. 9

Pressured by her father's constant comparisons and strict expectations, Rongrong runs away from the sect. Ning Fengzhi ultimately permits her journey as a chance for independence, while Chen Yuan is assigned to protect her covertly. 23
