Background

Yun Xi was abandoned as an infant amid the corpses left by a war in a mortal kingdom within Ten Thousand Flowers Sect territory. Grandma Flower discovered that she was still alive, brought her back to the sect, and raised her; Yun Xi consequently regards both the sect and Grandma Flower as her home and mother figure 152.

She later awakened the Ten Thousand Flowers Spiritual Body, becoming the most gifted cultivator of her generation in the Ten Thousand Flowers Sect 87 95. Her encounter with Lu Yi in the Eastern Forest Ancient Ruins began when she followed the scent of his spiritual wine, then volunteered to stay and support him in his conflict with the Heavenly Serpent Sect and Blood Spirit Sect 89.

Her strongest principle is repaying kindness. When Lu Yi faced retaliation from the Blood Spirit Sect and Heavenly Serpent Sect, she was prepared to surrender the soul essence of her Ten Thousand Flowers Spiritual Body—an act that would have cost her life—rather than abandon him 95. Outside the ruins, she attempted to repay Lu Yi by offering the essence of her spiritual body when the Blood Spirit Sect and Heavenly Serpent Sect demanded his death. Her willingness to die compelled Ten Thousand Flowers Sect to intervene and protect him 95.

Alliance with White Cloud Sect

Yun Xi represented Ten Thousand Flowers Sect during negotiations for an alliance with White Cloud Sect. While staying at White Cloud Sect, she sparred with Lu Yi daily, gained insight into her Azure Lotus Secret Technique, and advanced through their exchanges 98 99.
