The Primal Witch did not immediately fly into a rampage and attack. After such a long time, she had indeed become capable of controlling her magic. Though she had constantly shifted between life and death and ten thousand years had passed, her magic had continued to grow during that time. Perhaps it had already stabilized.
"Carlos... is he still alive?" The Primal Witch looked at him pleadingly, with not a trace of resentment toward Carlos visible in her eyes.
"No." Mel shook his head. "It was the death ordained by the gods. He couldn't avoid it."
"Did he say anything before that? Did he marry other women?"
"He probably had many women, though most of those relationships were likely out of necessity. When he died, only I was by his side," Mel answered seriously.
