Would Bibi Dong end up falling for Yu Xiaogang in my story? The answer was no!
The awkward part was that updates took time. Until the plot twist arrived, readers who missed the details might think the story had gone wrong. So I felt I had to explain.
This story followed the bonus-story plot. In short, Qian Xunji used an illusion to make Bibi Dong fall in love with Yu Xiaogang, then tore them apart. He used Yu Xiaogang to threaten Bibi Dong, fanning the evil in her heart to attract the Rakshasa God's inheritance. In the end, Qian Xunji willingly sacrificed himself.
In other words, Qian Xunji's ultimate goal was God Creation. He was more extreme than Qian Daoliu: the Angel God mattered most to Qian Daoliu, but Qian Xunji didn't care which god it was. Yu Xiaogang was merely a tool to drive Bibi Dong into darkness.
So much of what came next, right up to the final twist, revolved around illusions. What you saw couldn't be trusted.
In my version, there were two Angel Head Spirit Bones: one held by Qian Xunji and the other by Qian Renxue. The Spirit Hall plot that followed was a false reality created by two overlapping illusions.
The first layer: Qian Xunji pulled Bibi Dong, Yu Xiaogang, and Liu Erlong into an illusion!
The second layer: Qian Renxue pulled Qian Xunji, Jin Zhong, Yin Chui, Yu Xiaogang, and Liu Erlong into an illusion!
I should probably have saved this reveal for the end, but I felt I ought to explain. A power-fantasy story shouldn't need so many twists and turns. I had already planted clues in the existing chapters. For example, Qian Renxue brought out Immortal Herbs, distributed Soul Bones, and even produced God-Bestowed Spirit Rings and the Mysterious Heaven Skill. Spirit Hall underwent a complete transformation, yet Qian Xunji, Jin Zhong, Yin Chui, Bibi Dong, and the others in the Pope's Palace were utterly baffled, with no idea why any of it had happened.
I would delete this chapter after the final twist in this Spirit Hall arc. Don't blame me for the spoilers; otherwise, if you missed the details, you might think I was deliberately ruining the story.
