The next day, Naruto invited Choji, Shikamaru, and Shino over to play, and they chatted in the courtyard.
Kurama was wearing an outfit it had spent a long time choosing. It was looking through a recipe book, but its ears were pricked up as it carefully eavesdropped on Naruto's conversation in the courtyard.
Naruto slightly turned his head and glanced at the Nine-Tails lying on the sofa from the corner of his eye. Seeing its ears perk up, he silently gave Shino, Choji, and Shikamaru a look.
Shino nodded inwardly, showing that he understood. "Hey, Naruto, did you pick out the clothes for that little fox on the sofa? They're way too ugly, aren't they? How about this? My family has quite a few nice little outfits. I'll bring some over for you later."
"Yeah, Naruto, that little fox is really pretty, but its clothes are too ugly. With such a beautiful little fox, can't you bear to buy it some nicer clothes?" Shikamaru chimed in.
"Mhm..." Choji merely nodded while eating snacks.
"Ah, it's my fault. I actually have some pretty clothes, but the little fox doesn't like them." As Naruto spoke, he sensed Kurama's emotions and discovered that Kurama was already on the verge of bristling.
That was enough. They needed to stop while they were ahead.
Naruto knew that everything had its limits. Too much was as bad as too little.
Without drawing attention to it, he changed the subject.
On the third day, Kiba Inuzuka and Hinata came over to play. As for Sakura, Ino, and Sasuke, they had gone on an outing and would be away for three days.
Akamaru lay inside Kiba Inuzuka's clothes, with only its little head sticking out.
"Wow, Akamaru is so cute," Hinata said.
"Awoo!" Pride appeared on Akamaru's face.
