• Naruto began training on the Back Mountain after villagers rejected him, and he spent a year building his strength before learning to gather and prepare medicinal herbs.
• Naruto met Hiruzen Sarutobi, who helped treat his injuries and gave him a backpack before his first day at the Ninja Academy.
• Naruto learned that the Nine-Tails was sealed inside him, then persuaded the fox to help care for him and exchanged names with Kurama.
