Background / History

Yu Xiaogang sought out Su Han after hearing of the orphan's Innate Level 8 Soul Power and mutated Chain Martial Soul. He inspected the Fiery Chains of the Soul, judged it a top-tier mutated Tool Martial Soul, and advised Su Han to develop as a Control-type Soul Master. Su Han accepted his instruction while concealing the Martial Soul's Space attribute from him. 2

He taught Su Han theory and provided a more advanced meditation method. After eight months of study, Su Han reached Level 10; Yu Xiaogang then proposed a soul-ring path centered on gold-fire Plant Spirit Beasts, reasoning that the chain's Tool Martial Soul nature would avoid rejection. He accompanied Su Han and Dean Zhang Wei to the Star Dou Great Forest to secure Su Han's first Soul Ring. 3

Yu Xiaogang continued to guide Su Han for roughly two years and helped establish the basis of Su Han's early development. Later, while teaching Tang San, he described Su Han as the strongest Control-type Martial Soul user he had seen, though he believed Tang San's talent was slightly greater. 5
