"I request a transfer from Snow Mountain Base."
"I can't live like this anymore. All sorts of inexplicable things keep getting mixed into the food."
"As long as Allen remains at the base, I don't want to stay here another day."
"You two commanders must come up with a solution, or everyone would rather betray the organization."
Talia and Nyssa were surrounded by a crowd of League of Assassins members, all of them venting their dissatisfaction with Allen.
That crazy kid was simply too good at tormenting people.
They had to eat with extreme caution and use the bathroom in constant fear. If they could beat him, they would have long since swarmed him and given him a good Face-Shattering Kick.
Seeing that the situation was slipping out of control, Talia hurriedly soothed the crowd. "Everyone, calm down. We will definitely give you an explanation."
They had no choice but to resolve this. No one knew when The Ninja Master would return.
If he came back to find everyone gone, then held them accountable, they might lose their qualifications to inherit the League of Assassins.
Compared to that, getting rid of Allen was a trivial matter. At most, they would receive a token scolding.
Though the sisters had originally been rivals, they rarely reached a tacit agreement and formed a temporary alliance.
Night fell.
The lights went out in the base as everyone rested.
In the darkness, two figures sneaked toward Allen's room.
They pushed open the door with ease and crept silently to the bedside.
Moonlight streamed in through the window, outlining the human-shaped figure on the bed.
"Do it!"
Shing...
The blades left their sheaths, gleaming beneath the moonlight.
Sharp sword light carved silver-white streaks through the raised blanket, and goose down immediately scattered everywhere.
The base was located in the snowy mountains, where temperatures remained below freezing year-round. Down quilts were a necessity, or one could genuinely freeze to death in their sleep.
One slash followed another, as though they were venting all the frustration they had accumulated lately.
They could not eat well, could not sleep well, and even had to use the bathroom in fear. This life was impossible to endure.
As they kept hacking away, the sisters could not help revealing delighted yet cruel smiles.
That feeling of avenging a great grievance and releasing every pent-up emotion was so satisfying it felt like even their breasts had cleared up.
But as they kept chopping, they noticed something was wrong.
Why was there another person chopping with them?
Weren't they supposed to be carrying out the assassination? Had someone else gotten involved?
They stopped what they were doing and stared at the extra person.
Under the moonlight, they clearly saw his profile.
Hiss...
It was Allen!
"Why did you stop?"
Allen asked in confusion, "What are you playing? Can I join?"
Are you sick? We came to assassinate you. If we bring you along, then who are we supposed to assassinate?
Nyssa's mouth twitched. "Shouldn't you be sleeping in bed?"
"Who said sleeping means you have to sleep in bed?"
That was true. There was no rule saying one had to sleep in bed.
Considering how abnormal Allen was, he really could do something so contrary to common sense.
"Ah!"
Allen suddenly understood. "You two bad women came here to kill me."
The next moment, two Sharp Swords were already resting against their necks.
He was too fast.
So fast that they had no time to react.
Nyssa hurriedly explained, "Calm down. We were just playing around."
"Allen, we really came to play with you."
Talia hastily echoed her.
They had failed to ambush him and were instead defeated. If word got out, they would only have themselves to blame. The Ninja Master might not even avenge them; he would probably find it deeply humiliating instead.
Although the Lazarus Pit could revive them, The Blade of Redemption had been lost elsewhere. Reviving through it could very likely turn them into bloodthirsty, berserk monsters, which was naturally not an outcome they wanted.
Moreover, if they had been dead for over twenty-four hours, even that would be beyond saving. After all, everything had its limits.
"Take off your clothes. Heh heh heh heh..."
"..."
Had this idiot finally awakened to such matters?
Could he be harboring improper intentions after being tempted by their beauty?
Not long after.
Talia and Nyssa walked out of the room wrapped in bedsheets, their faces showing both relief and a trace of disappointment.
A lunatic was still a lunatic. He simply could not be understood with the mindset of an ordinary person.
Inside the room, Allen wore a women's martial arts uniform, twisting his hips in a yangko dance and singing merrily.
"Clang-li clang-clang yi clang-clang, clang-li clang-clang yi clang-clang, the sun sets behind the western hills, and the sky turns dark, hey hey hey..."
What bad intentions could Allen possibly have?
He was merely immersed in his own mental world.
A helicopter hovered over the snowy mountains, and three figures leaped down.
The base members were filled with tears as they welcomed The Ninja Master's return.
The past month had felt like years to them.
Ra's al Ghul had brought back the future Batman and Green Arrow, immediately receiving an enthusiastic welcome from all the members.
"Father, you've finally returned."
"Welcome back, Father."
Nyssa and Talia led the group in greeting him. Everyone looked eager, as though they had something important to report.
However, since it concerned Allen, they worried he might overhear if they spoke about it in public.
"Boss, you're back."
Allen swung through the air with Grappling Hook Claws in hand.
The sight made Ra's al Ghul frown. Why was this guy still here? He had even learned a set of grappling and swinging techniques.
Bruce and Oliver still bore the sharp, defined features of young men, not yet having grown into middle-aged greasy men with bizarre costume fetishes.
When they saw Allen's strange outfit, curiosity arose in both of them at once.
Within the League of Assassins, members respectfully called The Ninja Master their leader. Having someone run out and call him boss was exceptionally jarring.
Ra's al Ghul instinctively ignored Allen, unwilling to let him ruin his mood.
"Allen, what's for dinner tonight?"
Nyssa had a sudden idea and used the excuse to send Allen away so she could report on the recent situation.
"Don't panic. I've watched The Complete Chinese Chef. Even a pile of shit can be made into curry. Just wait and enjoy some Ganges Cuisine."
"Yee-haw..."
As soon as he finished speaking, Allen swung back toward the base on his grappling line.
After confirming that Allen had gone far enough away, Nyssa recounted every hardship and grievance of the past days.
The more Ra's al Ghul listened, the more the veins bulged on his forehead. He became increasingly certain that the boy could not be allowed to remain. If they continued letting him run wild, Snow Mountain Base would probably fall apart completely.
"The Four-Party Summit is approaching. Let Allen represent the League of Assassins, and have him retrieve The Blade of Redemption from Silent Hill while he's at it."
Ever meticulous, Ra's al Ghul came up with a scheme.
Everyone present immediately understood The Ninja Master's intentions. Given Allen's personality, he would definitely offend the other three factions beyond repair. When the time came, the League of Assassins could distance itself from him and use the other factions to eliminate him.
The Ninja Master truly was a shrewd old schemer.
The four factions appeared to be partners, but in truth regarded one another as rivals. They would inevitably become enemies one day, so their shared interests were hardly that important.
As for The Blade of Redemption, Ra's al Ghul did not mind making the trip himself afterward.
"Who is willing to go with Allen?"
Hearing Ra's al Ghul's question, everyone took a step back in unison.
They wanted to stay as far from Allen as possible. Why would they risk going with him? What if the other three factions became enraged and killed anyone accompanying him as well?
Bruce and Oliver looked around in confusion. An empty circle had formed around them, isolating them completely, and both immediately felt something was wrong.
Ra's al Ghul gave them no chance to object. He placed a hand on each of their shoulders and said righteously, "I am deeply gratified that you are willing to go. I hope you return safely. The organization will not forget your contributions."
Bruce: "..."
Oliver: "..."
