After leaving Western Kunlun, Yuanshi Tianzun did not immediately return to Kunlun.

He stood atop the clouds, his expression dark as he remained silent for a long while. At last, he took out a jade talisman.

The jade talisman burst into flame without any fire.

A streak of clear light pierced through Primordial Chaos and went straight into Zixiao Palace.

"Teacher."

Yuanshi Tianzun's voice was low.

A moment later, Dao Ancestor Hongjun's voice came from within the jade talisman.

"What is it?"

Yuanshi Tianzun recounted everything that had happened in Western Kunlun, especially that Lu Ya had claimed to have existed before Hongjun and had subdued him with a single finger.

Silence reigned in Zixiao Palace for a long while.

Yuanshi Tianzun asked again:

"Will Lu Ya be bound by the Heavenly Dao?"

Hongjun's voice remained calm and emotionless:

"He is not among the Three Teachings, nor is he bound by ordinary tribulations."

"But whatever he agrees to do, he will certainly do."

"You may return."
