Pangu opened the Primordial World by striking the boundless Chaos with the Heaven-Opening Divine Axe. Clear qi rose to form heaven, while heavy and turbid qi sank to form earth. 371

Pangu's body transformed into all things after the world's creation; Buzhou Mountain was formed from his spine, while Pangu Temple originated from his heart. 1 66 Pangu later revealed that he left behind an avatar to oversee the world after his true self departed. 372

Early Tribulations

The world endured successive catastrophes before the rise of its later great powers:

• The Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans fought for supremacy, devastating living beings and exhausting their fortune through Karma. The Dragon Clan withdrew to the Four Seas, the Phoenix Clan was confined to Undying Volcano, and the Qilin Clan nearly disappeared. 2 3
• The Dao-Demon Conflict ended when Luo Hou self-destructed, severely damaging the Western Continent's Earth Veins. 2
• After these conflicts, the older generation of innate great powers largely vanished or withdrew under the burden of Karma. 4

Heavenly Dao Dominance

Before the Earth Dao and Human Dao became prominent, the Heavenly Dao held near-total dominance over the Primordial World. Luo Hou described the ideal cosmic order as one of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity, but stated that the latter two remained suppressed or unmanifested. 61

Hongjun merged with the Heavenly Dao and became its principal spokesperson, using its authority to influence the world's tribulations and the fates of its cultivators. 479 652

Human Race and the Human Dao

Nüwa created the Human Race on the East Sea shore using Nine Heavens Breathing Earth, Three Lights Divine Water, the Gourd Vine, and the Cosmos Cauldron. She proclaimed the race to the Great Dao rather than the Heavenly Dao. 97 98

The creation of humanity brought Great Dao merit into the world and established the Human Race as a major force in its future order. 100 Qin Xuan later created the Humanity Origin Scripture, a cultivation method intended to allow all beings to cultivate and develop an inner universe. Its completion manifested immense Human Dao fortune. 121

• Primordial Aura increased by approximately thirty percent, allowing numerous cultivators to overcome long-standing bottlenecks. 257
• Earth Veins began recovering, particularly across the Western Continent. 257

• Space became far more stable: even peak Great Golden Immortals could no longer easily tear through it, and Quasi-Sages found spatial disruption difficult. 257
• The Netherworld's buildings and institutions were strengthened by Great Dao Merit; damaging them would invoke backlash from that merit. 257
