Background

Qin Xuan remembers a former life as a man from Earth before transmigrating into the Primordial Chaos. His consciousness merged with a drop of Pangu’s essence blood, making him the thirteenth sibling of the Twelve Ancestral Witches. Upon learning of the Witch Clan’s foretold destruction in the Witch-Demon Tribulation, he resolved to alter that fate rather than submit to it 1.

His earliest strategy was to prevent the Twelve Ancestral Witches from creating a Witch Clan at all. He argued that a vast clan would accumulate karma, require protection, and become vulnerable to manipulation by the Heavenly Dao and Hongjun. The siblings accepted his leadership, postponing their desire to create descendants and instead focusing on cultivation 3.

Much later, Pangu disclosed that Qin Xuan was a Pangu descendant created from one of thirteen drops of essence blood. Pangu had used the Shichen Wheel to send Qin Xuan’s consciousness through time after foreseeing a future in which the Witch Clan perished in the Witch-Demon Tribulation 373.

Qin Xuan is pragmatic, calculating, and unusually forward-thinking among the Ancestral Witches. His memories of the future make him wary of fate, large-scale tribulations, and Hongjun’s schemes. He routinely prioritizes long-term survival over pride, such as delaying the Witch Clan’s founding until it could safely operate from the Netherworld 1 259.

He is also opportunistic. Qin Xuan exploits rivalries, trades rare opportunities for treasures, conceals information when useful, and is willing to deceive Hongjun or Haotian to obtain strategic advantages 62 63 364 404. His methods can be ruthless: he has crippled Yuanshi Tianzun, killed Luo Hou, and executed the Fox Clan Chief and Hu Meier without hesitation 31 68 156.

Despite this, Qin Xuan is deeply protective of those he considers his own.
