Personality

Early in the story, Dai Mubai is a domineering, lecherous playboy who expects special treatment in Suotuo City and readily uses his status and strength to intimidate others. He is impulsive in conflict, but he can accept a clear defeat: after Xia Tianling beat him, he surrendered, paid for the inn's damage, and relinquished the room. 32 34 40

Discovering that Zhu Zhuqing was his childhood fiancée filled him with immediate regret. He cut ties with his former lovers and threw himself into harsh training, driven by the need to surpass Xia Tianling and prove himself worthy in Zhu Zhuqing's eyes. 41 65 124

That determination degraded into obsession after his Evil Vajra Ape ring, External Soul Bones, and later Rakshasa power intensified his irritability and bloodlust. History

Suotuo City and Shrek Academy

Dai Mubai first encountered Xia Tianling's group while demanding a reserved room at an inn in Suotuo City. He challenged the group to a fight for the room, revealed himself as a Level 37 White Tiger Battle Spirit Master, and was thoroughly defeated without Xia Tianling needing to summon his martial soul. Dai Mubai surrendered, accepted responsibility for the damages, and left the room to the group. 32 33 34

He initially failed to recognize Zhu Zhuqing, despite her immediately recognizing him as the fiancé who had abandoned her. His lewd remarks toward her intensified her hatred; only after Xia Tianling introduced her by name did Dai Mubai realize who she was and regret his conduct. 32 34 41 He later severed ties with his old lovers and began training intensely, hoping to surpass Xia Tianling and regain Zhu Zhuqing's regard. 65

Corruption and Expulsion

Seeking power beyond his family's planned path, Dai Mubai chose a nearly 10,000-year Evil Vajra Ape as his fourth ring. The ring and the External Soul Bones it produced transformed both his White Tiger martial soul and his temperament. 122 123

At the Silvis killing arena, Dai Mubai eagerly entered a lethal match that Tang San and Xiao Wu refused. He stacked three transformations, fought Meng Li with extreme brutality, and became increasingly unable to restrain his desire for bloodshed. 123 124 Flender ultimately concluded that Dai Mubai was cultivating an evil art and expelled him from Shrek Academy after Tang San observed that his Bloodline Power had been heavily depleted. 125

Despite the expulsion, Yu Xiaogang continued treating Dai Mubai as a disciple and brought him into the Heaven Dou Royal Academy circle and the Imperial Dou Team. Tournament Rivalry

Dai Mubai repeatedly fought Xia Tianling alongside the Shrek Seven and later the Imperial Dou Team. He served as a frontline attacker, using his White Tiger transformations, Blood-Colored Gauntlets, and allied support to pressure Xia Tianling in close combat. 77 79 149 303

During a battle at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, he used Evil Ape King Transformation and temporarily matched a weakened Xia Tianling through stacked transformations and Ning Rongrong's amplification. Xia Tianling ultimately defeated him with True Dragon Shocks the Heavens, leaving Dai Mubai severely injured. 152 153 His hatred later drove him to hijack the Imperial Dou Team's pseudo Seven-in-One fusion technique and burn his own life force for a temporary Spirit Douluo-level transformation. 305 306

Star Luo Succession

After returning to Star Luo City, Dai Mubai convinced the White Tiger Great Emperor that his divine power and combat potential justified a chance at the throne. The emperor promised to name him Crown Prince if he could reach Spirit Emperor within two years. 344

Dai Mubai then allied with the Seven Great Families, who offered support for his ascension while covertly treating him as a tool for controlling the Star Luo Empire. 366 441 With their assistance, he ambushed and killed Dai Weisi, devoured his cultivation and spirit ring, and evolved his martial soul into a Rakshasa Evil Tiger. 366

He later led black-clad Soul Masters in the extermination of the White Tiger Family, slaughtering servants and non-family members before draining the surviving family members' life force. He murdered the White Tiger Great Emperor and Empress, used the victims' energy to restore Yu Xiaogang, and seized the Star Luo throne. 441 442

Final War and Death

As emperor, Dai Mubai ruled through terror, slaughtering civilians, Soul Masters, guards, and soldiers to fuel his cultivation. He ultimately reached the Limit Douluo realm and prepared a massive invasion of Spirit Hall. 511 512

At Tianxing Pass, he converted 1.4–1.5 million soldiers into Rakshasa soldiers and sacrificed them to become a Quasi-God. 524 When he still lacked the final power to complete the Rakshasa God position, he killed Yu Xiaogang and absorbed him. His ascension immediately failed to secure victory: Xia Tianling killed him with one punch, and Zhu Zhuqing destroyed his body and Rakshasa Gauntlets to prevent any future use. 525
