Xiao Chen vanished from the Xiao Family after being swept into a spatial storm. He reached the Central Plains, endured prolonged hardship, encountered the mysterious cultivator Xu, and became Xu's disciple; he later described the journey to his family as a great stroke of fortune while withholding its most dangerous details 3 10.

After returning, Xiao Chen settled Nalan Yanran's dispute with Xiao Yan without allowing the Xiao Family's dignity to be compromised.
