Getting her to stay put obediently had always been difficult.
"How about you go play hide-and-seek with those kids?" Lin Nai said without looking up from his drawings.
Kiana pondered for a few seconds, then ultimately shook her head.
"Forget it. Most of the kids here are like Bronya—they barely pay any attention to people..."
Besides, she could not really get along with those children...
Hide-and-seek did sound fun, though. If Lin Nai went, she would follow him.
"Then dumb Kiana should just stay quiet," Bronya said from beside Lin Nai, where she had been silently watching.
Kiana lay on her side and looked at Bronya. "Don't call me dumb! I'm really smart!"
Bronya tilted her head at her. "Dumb Kiana, what is 648 times 648?"
"Huh? Ah... um..."
Kiana sat up and began counting on her fingers.
Bronya revealed a faint smile. As expected of dumb Kiana—she could not even answer this question.
"Zero."
"648 times 648."
"Equals."
"419,904."
Bronya and Kiana looked toward Lin Nai, who was using the computer.
Lin Nai did not seem embarrassed in the slightest as he said righteously, "What? Human wisdom is all about using tools."
"...Bronya overestimated Lin Nai and Kiana."
Bronya's mouth twitched.
Lin Nai scratched his head. "No, most people probably can't work that out immediately, right?"
"Then Bronya will go ask Dr. Einstein and Dr. Tesla."
"Those two aren't normal people either..."
Lin Nai sighed helplessly. Leaving aside the fact that nobody knew how long they had lived—
even at their original age, they had been geniuses, right?
"Hey, brat, who the hell are you calling abnormal?!" Tesla swaggered in through the door.
Einstein followed right after her. "That's right. Dr. Tesla and I are perfectly normal humans."
"Then may I presumptuously ask how old you two Doctors are?"
"Seventeen."
Einstein answered without hesitation.
Tesla was stunned by Einstein's words, but quickly nodded along.
Then the two of them saw the disbelief in Lin Nai's eyes.
"Seventeen? Hmm... seventeen years and how many years?" Lin Nai asked with great interest.
"Don't pry into a beautiful girl's business!" Tesla snapped, embarrassed and angry at having no answer, then flicked Lin Nai on the forehead.
Lin Nai nimbly dodged, only for Einstein to reach out and give him a flick as well.
"Mm... You're Doctors, but you've got quite some strength." Lin Nai rubbed his forehead.
It did not hurt much.
But if that had been an ordinary person, their forehead would probably have turned red.
Tesla grinned. "Hehe! Bird's Nest Head and I do plenty of manual labor!"
Like repairing mechs, researching mechs, assembling mechs... that sort of thing.
Kiana looked at Einstein and Tesla. "What are you two Doctors here for?"
"Hm? What are we here for?"
Tesla and Einstein looked at each other. They had only come in because they happened to pass by and heard Lin Nai calling them abnormal.
"We were just passing by to take a look," Tesla answered.
Kiana did not think much of it and lay back down.
Einstein, however, stroked her chin. "Perhaps when we go to Anti-Entropy, we should give Lin Nai and Kiana some lessons."
"Duck no need!"
Lin Nai refused decisively. He had finally suffered his way through graduation in his previous life, and now they wanted to send him back to school?
Impossible!
Absolutely impossible!!
If they insisted, then he would have no choice but to show them what it meant for Cao Cao to cover rice!
Tesla showed a sinister smile. "Oh? Brat, it looks like you're really afraid of studying?"
"Yes."
Lin Nai nodded. Once was enough for something like studying.
After learning it, all he had to do was return it to the teacher once he was done using it.
At the very least, he might not even be able to solve middle school questions now. When he saw elementary school problems, he had to wonder whether that was really something kids that age should be learning.

"Lobster Doctor, if you dare force me into tutoring, I'll dismantle your mech!"

Tesla was shocked. Why did this kid want to dismantle her mech at the slightest disagreement?

Einstein spoke up as well. "Dr. Tesla merely wants to become Lin Nai's teacher, then torment him."
"I don't! How could I! Don't make things up!"
Tesla's eyes darted away after her thoughts had been exposed. That really had been what she was thinking.

giving this brat mountains of homework until he died from exhaustion!
Lin Nai rolled his eyes and could not be bothered with this red lobster. He quietly continued drawing something.
Seeing that her scheme had failed, Tesla did not mind.
After all, it had only been a spur-of-the-moment idea.
Lobster Doctor poked her head over and stared at Lin Nai's drawing in surprise. "You're drawing... clothes?"
"Yeah."
"Oh? You're actually pretty good at drawing, kid." Tesla stared at it with great interest.
Einstein leaned over too.
Kiana looked at the three people gathered around Lin Nai and truly could not understand what was so interesting about watching someone draw.
But Kiana did not know.
Once someone reached a certain level of boredom, even spacing out became interesting.
Because there was nothing else to do.
Although Kiana was bored too, this was not the first time she had seen Lin Nai scribbling and drawing.
Naturally, she could not be bothered to watch.
Come to think of it, the first picture Lin Nai had drawn was of her sleeping.
When she had asked Lin Nai why he drew it...
Lin Nai: Because it's a masterpiece called "Kiana Sleeping"!

Lin Nai had initially thought that a round trip from Anti-Entropy Headquarters to Cocolia Orphanage would be quick.
But Tesla had complained about it.
Anti-Entropy aircraft were indeed faster than ordinary planes, but they were not warships loaded with who knew how many boosters.
How could they possibly arrive in the morning?
Out of boredom.
Lin Nai simply spent some time playing with the children at the orphanage.
Mainly because he was so bored that he had nothing to do.
He was not someone who could sit still either. In the past, he would sit whenever he could stand, and lie down whenever he could sit.
But ever since he came to this world and met Kiana.
That habit had gradually disappeared.
It could not be helped. Kiana wanted to put up missing-person notices in every corner of the city.
Even though he knew it was pointless, Lin Nai still forced himself to keep Kiana company as she stubbornly posted those notices.
Kiana knew that too. Her dad could not possibly be that easy to find.
He certainly would not be found through mere missing-person notices.
So she was grateful to Lin Nai for always staying by her side.
