Destroyer Armor (Extra Chapter for 1,000 Bookmarks)

After spending a cozy night together, Thor and Jane Foster's relationship heated up rapidly. They were practically ready to take things to the next level.

Of course, MCU movies were for all ages, so there definitely wouldn't be any of that sort of scene. For now, the two were still only at the cuddling-and-hugging stage.

"Guardian, we've detected the Einstein-Rosen Bridge phenomenon again. We also captured four figures."

"Put the images on for me."

Red Queen immediately took control of the satellite and showed Wang Khan a video of four people wearing medieval armor.

"As expected, they still came. Red Queen, get ready. The real show is about to begin."

Red Queen immediately piloted the Quinjet to an empty lot beside the town. Naturally, its cloaking device was active the entire time. Even after landing, Wang Khan was essentially sitting inside an invisible house.

The events that followed were much the same as in the movie. Thor's four lackeys easily found him, and Thor learned from them that his father, Odin, was still alive. Loki had been lying to him about everything.

At that moment, Loki's backup plan arrived as well. The Destroyer Armor came to New Mexico through the Bifrost. However, this was where things began to diverge from the movie.

Because Wang Khan had previously attacked the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, Coulson had been forced to call in reinforcements.

Although most of those reinforcements were Hydra agents, at least for the time being, Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. were inseparable.

The Hydra agents, armed with far greater firepower, immediately engaged the Destroyer Armor.

"Open fire!"

At Coulson's command, several antitank rockets slammed into the Destroyer Armor, knocking it backward and leaving smoke pouring from its body.

Rumlow let out a snicker and strode out from behind the jeep, about to go see the results of the attack.

Just then, the upper half of the Destroyer Armor suddenly lifted itself up. Its face expanded, and a Destruction Beam blasted out.

"Boom!"

The jeep beside Rumlow was blown to pieces. He himself let out a scream and was sent flying more than eight meters, half his body cooked by the blast.

"Spread out! Spread out, now! Use the Vulcan Cannons to lock down its movements!"

Coulson directed the battle from the scene. Four Vulcan Cannons opened fire from four directions, their bullets transforming into a metallic storm that hammered heavily into the Destroyer Armor.

Armor-piercing rounds capable of tearing apart armored vehicles struck the Destroyer Armor, sending strings of sparks flying and blasting its body backward.

While airborne, it fired another Destruction Beam. Two machine-gun positions were wiped out instantly. Eight Strike Team members were vaporized on the spot, without even a scrap of flesh remaining. Compared to them, Rumlow could be considered lucky.

"Director, let me handle this. Everyone fall back!"

Skye, running on a surge of adrenaline, charged forward. Coulson failed to grab her in time and could only shout orders for his people to cover her.

Skye threw away the gun in her hand. Her body, enhanced by the Green Goblin Serum, sprinted faster than a cheetah.

The Destroyer Armor spotted her. It tossed its head, and another Destruction Beam shot out.

Skye's powerful motor nerves directly controlled her body as she launched herself into the air. The Destruction Beam skimmed past the soles of her shoes.

When it tried to fire a second shot, Skye crossed her palms and pressed them toward the Destroyer Armor.

"Crack!"

The sound of the earth splitting rang out. The Destroyer Armor was crushed down onto both knees, unable even to lift its head. At the same time, the ground beneath it was pressed into a huge crater, swallowing its entire body.

Skye landed on both feet and felt as though her hands and arms had been burned by fire. When she moved them, she could even hear the terrifying sound of bones cracking.

But she had no time to worry about that now. She raised both hands again and pressed them downward.

Dozens of tons of sand and mud boiled up, taking the shape of a wave as they buried the Destroyer Armor alive!

Wang Khan, who had been watching through the satellite feed the entire time, could not help applauding.

"As expected of the future World Destroyer. After only a few months of training, she can unleash such a powerful Shockwave. Truly remarkable. It's just a shame she doesn't have Vibranium protection. Her hands are probably already mangled beyond recognition."

As someone who also possessed the Shockwave ability, Wang Khan understood all too well how terrifying this Inhuman Ability was. It was practically the same as the Seven Injuries Fist.

The Destroyer Armor then crawled out of the ground and began attacking indiscriminately.

"Fall back! Everyone fall back! Get out of here!"

Coulson charged over at the risk of his life, helped the injured Skye into a vehicle, and then sped away without looking back.

After Loki used the Destroyer Armor to kill more than a dozen S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, he stopped paying attention to those ants in his eyes and went straight for the town.

The events that followed were much the same as in the movie. Thor's four followers were beaten half to death. Thor then sacrificed himself to exchange for the lives of everyone in the town, finally earning the recognition of Thor's Hammer. He flew straight out of the base, and Thor made his entrance. After only a few strikes, he destroyed the core of the Destroyer Armor, successfully reducing it to an empty shell.

By then, Coulson had just called for a Quinjet. He had planned to use the Quinjet's powerful weapons to destroy the Destroyer Armor, but he was a step too late.

After exchanging a few words with Thor, Thor carried Jane Foster away. Not long afterward, he returned to Asgard through the Bifrost.

Back in the town, Coulson directed the agents as they prepared to recover the Destroyer Armor, now reduced to an empty shell.

While ordering his subordinates to load the Destroyer Armor onto the Quinjet, Coulson reported the situation at the scene to Nick Fury.

"Coulson, make sure you bring that big fellow back. Earth is too fragile. We must understand alien weapons. Only then might we have the means to protect ourselves when the next crisis arrives, so..."

"Director... Director?"

The call suddenly cut off. Coulson was extremely puzzled. He was using a satellite phone. As long as the satellite in space had not fallen, there was no way the signal could suddenly weaken. Yet now...
