Fortunately, Lokasky and Black Tiger Venerable were aboard. They unleashed their Legendary might to suppress the commander's presence, and with Fox soothing the bird, it managed to stay in the air.
"What the hell did Brown stir up? Get this bird flying faster. Nothing had better happen to that kid."
Black Tiger Venerable knew why he had come. He was not here to hunt for treasure, but to protect Chen Cheng.
If he made it out safely and Chen Cheng did not, he doubted Samlet would listen to his explanation, much less spare him.
Fox spoke to the giant bird. It spread its wings, and its speed increased by another thirty percent.
Lokasky channeled his Battle Aura to split the air ahead, and the giant bird shot past the speed of sound.
Chen Cheng, meanwhile, had also jumped at the giant commander's roar.
This was not a true Great World. With the roar echoing off the barrier above the Ruins World, it sounded like thunder rolling overhead.
But the giant attack he had imagined never came. After roaring, the commander let the five giants pass through the gate.
Chen Cheng did not follow. He withdrew into the Ancient Forest to wait for Lokasky and the others.
The moment he spotted the giant bird, Chen Cheng flew up to meet it. He landed on its back and told Lokasky and the others everything he had seen.
When Lokasky heard that the wild fruit growing on the ancient trees was a rare treasure, he reached out and picked one.
They shared it and found that it truly did enrich the blood
