After three rounds of distributing game slots.
So far, one hundred and twenty players have entered the game.
They have formed various squads to complete missions and earn Contribution Points.
With the support of skills like firearms proficiency and melee combat, coupled with the prosthetic enhancements provided by Priest Hina.
The combat effectiveness of the players is higher than that of the unorganized and undisciplined Cultists and Plague Zombies.
The players, burdened with loans, are full of enthusiasm and work without complaint.
They have launched successive attacks and reclaimed quite a few areas.
Even Priest Hina feels that these God Chosen are working too hard.
Compared to them, even diligent servitors seem inferior.
Of course, not all players are out executing missions.
Some players with special skills have been assigned different tasks by Qin Yun.
For example, Old Bird and his colleagues, along with players who know how to repair like Dovahkiin, are working under the guidance of Priest Hina.
They are repairing automatic turrets, data control centers, electronic control matrices, and so on.
Players like Blood Pigeon and Milk Dragon continue to practice operating Valkyries and various vehicles.
This is so they can head to the surface of Planet Automata when the time comes.
B-10H Cargo Transit Area.
Inside the spacious loading hall, hundreds of Plague Zombie corpses lie scattered in every direction.
Ten-Timer waves his hand, and an Aether Shard flies out.
It instantly pierces the head of a Plague Zombie struggling to crawl in the distance.
"Being a Psyker is just cool!" says Twisted Man, who has had Mantis Blades implanted, with an envious look on his face.
Ten-Timer smiles and says, "Your Mantis Blades aren't bad either; when in melee, cutting through zombies is like slicing vegetables."
Warmaster holds his gun, scanning the surroundings for any stragglers.
"I have to say, after getting prosthetic implants, our combat power is significantly stronger. If it were those ordinary Mutants on the warship before, I feel like I could have cut through them all by myself."
Warmaster did not get prosthetic implants but instead underwent physical enhancement.
His speed, strength, and endurance were improved in every aspect.
Wrist Bro shakes his head, not agreeing with Warmaster's words.
"That was only because we had the buff skills from Guide, which is why it felt like the combat was easy."
"Otherwise, that single Chaos Beast alone could have killed us dozens of times."
Turtle interrupts the team's idle chatter, "Don't talk about things so far away. The clearing mission for B-10H is complete. Take a few photos and upload them to Priest Hina so she can confirm, then we'll head to the next area to execute our mission."
Not long after the photos were uploaded, the data pad received a reply.
[Mission confirmed, Contribution Points have been issued to the team account]
"Let's go, keep moving," says Warmaster.
The squad continues to advance along the corridor connecting the different areas.
Upon reaching an intersection, Turtle suddenly stops in his tracks.
"No, someone is coming toward us from this direction."
"Are you sure?"
Although he asked, Warmaster and the others immediately became alert.
Because Turtle had cybernetic sensory implants installed, he was an expert at gathering intelligence.
"I'm sure." Turtle nodded.
"Which way?" Warmaster looked at the fork in the road ahead and asked cautiously.
"The path on the left, there should be over a dozen people."
Turtle focused his attention, struggling to analyze the information he had gathered.
Warmaster swapped the battery in his Lasgun and gave his teammates a look.
"Take cover, get ready for combat."
Before long, over a dozen Cultists carrying weapons emerged from the left corridor.
Two of the Cultists were even carrying a heavy metal storage canister.
"Hurry up, get this thing delivered."
"Keep an eye on the surroundings. The loyalist offensive near the Y-107H loading zone has been getting more intense lately. They might sneak in here."
"Once we finish off those lackeys of the False Emperor in the B-14Y storage zone, we'll turn back to deal with the Y-107H side. None of them will escape."
"..."
As the Cultists walked into the ambush zone.
Warmaster leaned out, pulling the trigger of his Lasgun while shouting.
"Move!"
Twisted Man, Turtle, and Wrist Bro also leaned out from their hiding spots, leveling their guns and firing.
Ten-Timer absorbed energy from the Warp, condensing it into crystal-like Aether Shards, and hurled them out.
In just a few seconds, before the Cultists could even react, they were either dead or wounded.
Cough, cough!!
A Cultist's lung had been pierced.
But the man didn't die; he just kept coughing up blood.
Twisted Man, who was clearing the battlefield, popped out his Mantis Blade.
He stabbed the blade into the Cultist's shoulder, forcing a painful groan from him.
"What are you transporting?" Twisted Man asked.
"You will be cursed by the gods, lackeys of the False Emperor." The Cultist looked at Twisted Man with hateful eyes and spat out a mouthful of blood.
"Don't waste your breath! You're still hoping to get intel out of these lunatics? Anyone with a sane mind wouldn't have turned to Chaos, right?"
Warmaster walked over and finished the Cultist off with a single shot.
"What is this?" Turtle crouched in front of the storage canister dropped by the Cultists to inspect it.
Wrist Bro kicked the metal storage canister. "Based on the N-Party's usual methods, this thing is most likely a virus."
"It doesn't have to be 'most likely', it definitely is," Ten-Timer said with a tone of certainty.
Twisted Man kicked the head of the dead Cultist. "I just heard them say that there seem to be loyalists in the B-14Y zone."
"Let's go take a look." Warmaster looked at his teammates, asking for their opinions.
"I agree."
"Me too."
"Since everyone agrees, let's head to B-14Y first."
B-13Y Zone.
Ten-Timer and the others lay prone on a pipe, not daring to even breathe loudly.
Below the pipe were dense swarms of Plague Zombies.
Upon arriving, they discovered that the B-13Y and B-15Y zones near the B-14Y zone were both filled with Plague Zombies.
One must know that a storage zone on the space station covered an area of about fifteen acres, larger than an international soccer field.
To fill a storage zone, it would take tens of thousands of Plague Zombies to do so.
Adding in those in the corridors.
There were at least a hundred thousand Plague Zombies surrounding the B-14Y zone.
With such a massive formation, the five of them didn't dare to act rashly.
They could only use the pipes to crawl to the B-13Y zone to see what the situation was like in the B-14Y zone.
The corridor leading from the B-13Y zone to the B-14Y zone was packed with Plague Zombies.
Gunfire erupted incessantly at the entrance of the passage, punctuated occasionally by the sound of explosions.
"It looks like there really are loyalists here, though it's hard to say how many."
Warmaster frowned as he looked at the dense swarm of Plague Zombies.
"What should we do?" Twisted Man asked. "Go on a killing spree?"
"With this many Plague Zombies, you'd cramp up your hands before you finished them off," Turtle said, rolling his eyes at Twisted Man.
"Something isn't right. With so many Plague Zombies gathered here, someone must be driving them," Ten-Timer said.
"Look over there." Turtle pointed toward a specific spot.
The others followed the direction Turtle was pointing.
They spotted a fat man covered in pustules and rotting wounds.
He was surrounded by a group of Cultists.
"I can sense an evil power emanating from him; he must be a Plague Blessed," Ten-Timer said. "He's the one controlling the Plague Zombies."
"Should we snipe him?" Warmaster looked at Ten-Timer and made a throat-slitting gesture.
Ten-Timer shook his head. "The N-Party always has thick health bars. At this distance, we might not be able to take him down, and we'd only expose our position and end up surrounded."
"Let's contact Guide. We should seek support when it's needed."
Turtle nodded and pulled out his data pad.
He drafted the message, selected the recipient, and tapped send.
At that moment, Qin Yun had just finished leading a squad of players in clearing out the Cultists and Plague Zombies at the water purification plant.
Hearing the notification sound for an incoming message, he pulled out his data pad to check it.
"Lord Guide, we have discovered besieged Imperial troops and civilians in the B-14Y storage area. They are being attacked by Cultists and Plague Zombies. The enemy numbers are vast, and there is a suspected Nurgle Blessed present. Requesting support, requesting support."
Qin Yun immediately contacted Hina.
He had her issue a limited-time mission to all players immediately.
Before long, every player with a data pad received the mission prompt.
